Then when they come out of the house, they show "Best Bits" littered with swearing. What's the sense? It's past the watershed. Presumably if they want to show this later, they are just as capable of editing the live content.

It still is. The "please do not swear" line is a holdover from the days when the show was broadcast much earlier in the evening. In reality they can swear all they like, but it became Davina's catchphrase early on and stuck.

I heard the only reason they have a swear rule is that when you meet davina you cant help but say 'fuck off'....

Yeah, it's just a tradition that lost all meaning after they moved the evictions post watershed. And they've been on a delay ever since Lea said "cunt" live on air during BB7, so they can bleep out any swearing anyway.
