Wind tried to do just that to my large gates near my garage, ripped iron brackets straight out of the wood, snapped two broom handles I put through the handles, only a short length of garden hose I tied in a knot through the handles kept them together.

Not had a lot of sleep, kept expecting a tree to come through the window.

A fairly large tree fell down over a path I walk down most days. If I had been standing in the exact spot where it fell, I probably would have died or been badly injured (or jumped out of the way.)

(I wasn't standing there at the time.)
