Star Trek: Discovery season 2

Then again they were taking it to the future to get away from Leyland, but ended up taking him with them.

The Question

So basically they'll no longer be acting like it's a prequel. That's perfectly fine by me and further redeems their season 1 disregard for continuity. (The season 2 finale put some elbow grease into mopping that up as well.)

And didn't Control come from the future in the first place? (Really I can't remember how Control started.)

The Question

Eternal
Control was a threat assessment AI developed by Section 31. Think Skynet.

Is this real life?
I couldn’t follow what was happening to be honest. Why take Discovery to the future to stop Leland from following them when he was on the ship? That should’ve put a halt to the plan right there. And why was he still trying to destroy the ship when he was on it?

It was a pretty episode, the fan service was great and Spock’s a weird crush without the beard, but the plot could’ve done with being thought out more.

Very curious to see what season three is all about, though.

Maybe the blast doors are constructed out of sentient Blast Door creatures so it's cruel to make too many of them.

Also why would a blast door come down in the saucer section? Does it come from the next deck up? Side ways makes more sense, especially if you are already on the top deck

The Question

Eternal
Makes more sense structurally as well, since it would be curved and therefore harder to "hinge" upward from the blast at the bottom of it.

The answer is that they wanted to kill a recurring character to make the episode more dramatic.
