Derek Chauvin is on trial for George Floyd's death
Jurors heard testimony from a series of witnesses today in the trial of former Minneapolis Police officer. Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. Floyd died in May 2020 after Chauvin placed his knee on Floyd's neck while he pleaded, "I can't breathe." His final moments recorded on video, led to widespread protests against police brutality and racism as well as incidents of unrest.
