Combo HD DVD and Blu Ray players

Do they make them? I realized that if they do, it would solve my problem of which one to buy. However, I haven't been able to find one anyware.

I don't think anything like that has been made, or will be... it'd kinda be like having a combo VHS/Beta player.

^ Actually, after I posted this I found one. Best Buy sells one by LG. Its $1200.00, and basically plays everything made today.

Anyone else heard of it?

Samsung, Pioneer and a few other manufacturers were working on combo players, but I don't know if they're out yet.

Pretty sad when a PS3 is less expensive than a home entertainment unit...

I still haven't seen any reason to get a blueray player. Even with a top-notch TV, can the human eye even discern a difference in picture quality between a high quality dvd with good production and a blue ray disc?

It's kinda like the difference between 160kbps mp3 files and 256kbps mp3 files. I can't tell the difference.
