yes, I did. But having actually been in Texas and tasted the smooth butteriness of fresh pecans, I now can tell the difference and - sorry to say you would not be impressed.
But it was superb in terms of Canadians' understanding of what pecans taste like. An excellent recipe from an excellent Ma just the same.

next time I visit Texas, I bring back THREE bags of pecans, not one!
