In 2006, researchers at the University of Southampton and the University of Kobe reported that they had built a six-legged robot whose movement was remotely controlled by a Physarum slime mold. The mold directed the robot into a dark corner most similar to its natural habitat.

Now that's just fucking creepy.
 
Yet, some wiki articles are really entertaining.

Think about it. Wikipedia is written entirely by people who enjoy or are slight experts on the subjects they write about. Which means that someone sits down, thinks there needs to be a wiki article about it, then gets to writing. Now, with that in mind, go to this article.

I thought this was pretty interesting. I never imagined approaching it from all those different angles (and I envy anyone who can decipher all that higher-math cryptology), and it's always fun watching logicians try to struggle with an absurdity.

The popular Irish comedian Ed Byrne often performs a skit in which he jokingly attacks the song for its lack of ironies: "The only ironic thing about that song is it's called ironic and it's written by a woman who doesn't know what irony is. That's quite ironic." Byrne goes through the song working out how to change certain unfortunate incident mentioned in the song, into ironies.

I like how in the irony section it mentions when Hinkly shot Regan, all his bullets missed, but one hit the bullet proof windscreen on his car and bounced back into him.

So the glass designed to stop him being shot was the reason he got shot.

what's even more ironic is that the object of Hinckley's obsessive sexual fantasies.... turned out to be a lesbian!

Yes, because if that hadnt happened, then he would have been in, because theres nothing turns a girl on more than trying to kill the president.

Although I dont think he quite figured out how he would have had a relationship banged up in prison for the rest of his life.
 
I think they usually work in IT.
