The themes of the Borges stories sound like they'd interest me.

You should read Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt. Phenomenal.
 
I need something that is along the lines of those two books, but I've read those already! I'm thinking of ordering some of the Southern Vampire books that True Blood is based on, but I want something else to go with them. I don't like to start ordering books if I don't have something in mind already cause then I end up ordering a bunch of crap.
 
Dexter is good, even though most peeps on this board think they're craptacular.

The Saga of Recluce Serises by L. E. Modesitt Jr.

I really enjoyed them....check em out

I like some vampire stories. I enjoyed Anne Rice back when she was writing about Vampires. Haven't read any good vampire books in a long time.
