The more I hear about Trek XI the more I dislike it.

RED AND BLACK IS TIMELESS

The changes they have mad to TOS in this movie in terms of the bridge just look bad. At least with Enterprise you could tell it was in the past.

They could have at least made it a bit less flashy or something.

I like the corridors, they reminded me of that time when Darth Vader was choking the shit out some bitch yo

There'll be no one to stop us this time!

WHAT DID THAT LINE MEAN, LUCAS?

Was Leia the backup if Yoda couldn't train Luke?

I don't think they really expected Luke to win, he was more of the patsy to be sent against Vader so that he could be killed, and they would think with Anakins only child dead, there was no more pesky jedi to bother them.

Then Liea could be trained while they both grew soft, and then come in kill bill style and slaughter the fuck out of them.

It's a good thing Vader never looked up Skywalkers in the big Imperial Phonebook.

She could fly the SS. Pussy Wagon.

I think Vader and Palpatine knew about Luke, but didn't consider him a threat because he had never been trained.

I mean I don't see how they really couldn't know he existed, since he had the Skywalker name, and lived on the farm his mother lived on, lived with his step brother and sister in law, and had done so for the last 18 years.

It was like "here he is, come kill him if you want, because you dont know about the other one we have hidden safe"

Of course Liea fucked that up royally by getting herself captured and put on the list to be executed.

Which of course brings up "take her away and execute her immediatly" and shes still sat in her cell waiting to be rescued hours later, I mean if Tarkin wanted her dead immediatly, why didnt someone just pull a gun out and vape her brains right there and then?

and I guess Vader couldn't sense that Leia was his daughter because she never used the Force around him (unlike Luke)? He could have at least commented that she looked like Padme and tried to bone her.

OMG THIS THREAD IS ABOUT STAR TREK NOT STAR WARS YOU FUCKING FUCKFACES! :rwmad:

I think his boning days were over once his tadger made contact with the lava.

Anyway since there is a hoth in star trek, star wars, and stargate, I think you can talk about all three in the thread.

Amanda Tapping, she'd get it.

The whole Vader knows about Luke thing but they don't go after him is much more plausible when you consider Episode III.

Palps definitely had a respect for Vader's power.

"He will become more powerful than either of us!"

And his whole hook to get Anakin to fall was saving Padme's life. So killing their son seems reasonably off the cards until he becomes the threat that he does.

RoTS gave much more depth to the Sith order and killing Luke for no reason would have made no sense. There was no reason to believe he would ever be trained as a Jedi anyway.

BUT YEAH, WTF! THIS IS ABOUT SOME SHADY nuTREK BOLLOCKS! Don't bring Star Wars in to this. Gosh. You're all worse than J.J, that Warsie prick!

I can't wait until Spock kills 300 Romulans with a Force Choke, then turns into a giant snake at the ascencion in the new Trek movie. What will Sam Emerson & Edgar Frog make of this when they are transferred to the Enterpriise?

Red tape issue?

Whaaaaaaat? Vader totally had no idea that Luke even existed until he blew up the Death Star. That's why they put him on Tatooine in the first place. To hide him.

With his uncle..with the name Skywalker..

Maybe Skywalker is a common name like Smith.

How often did The Empire get to Tatooine?

Was it not a somewhat out of the way place?

The only people who knew that Padmé had given birth were Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Bail Organa. That's why she looks pregnant at her funeral, they faked it so that Vader thought he had no children.

Luke was hidden on a very out-of-the-way planet, one that Vader was very unlikly to return to, what with him spending his childhood as a slave there, and with his mother dying there. Obi-Wan was there in hiding too, looking over Luke.

Vader had no idea had he even had any children until it was told that some kid named Skywalker had blown up the Death Star.

It totally is. I just had to tell a vacuum cleaner salesman named Bob Skywalker that I'm not in the market for a Kirby. Turns out the kid who works at the 7/11 is Billy Skywalker, and John and Martha Skywalker live a couple doors down from me.
