Got delayed a grand total of five hours flying home. The girl next to me said she'd been waiting for her flight for thirty hours, though, so I guess I can't legitimately complain.

Dec 21: Last night was the big Christmas shindig out at the camp. Had lots of fun, food, and even some hillbillies singing and playing guitars. Today I am recuperating.
 
Dec.22: still cleaning up after the solstice dinner yesterday - huge snowstorm shut down the roads and some folks couldnt make it.
Picked up The Audreys CD "Between Last Night and Us' as present to myself.
Bought a bottle of Appleton's Estate reserve rum. Ditto.
 
12/17 - BEGINNING TO GET THE FEELING that people might be losing their enthusiasm for diary threads.
 
12/28: Going to see the Wu-tang Clan tonite. Not really a fan of their music, but rocktar got free tickets from some radio station.

So we set a new record for mild temps since '49. I've always wanted to write "since '49" for something and now i can. it just has such a great ring of history to it.

So all that snow (and there was alot) has melted and now my basement is flooded.

So washing the good towels the minions used on the basement floor (instead of the mop, natch) as we speak.

Of course company from Toronto is due to arrive this afternoon.
 
28/12/08 despite swearing 1000 times not to buy stuff to sell on ebay, ended up buying 5 Marv's from Sin City action figures because they were cheap.

okay, i think it's safe.

so, i'm in love with my new job. i have a big office and i barely work. mostly i sit here and play on the interwebz. it's staggering how easily amused i really am. i keep waiting to get bored, and it seems that as long as i have internet access, i'm constantly entertained.

my girlfriend is moving here to be with me. i keep trying not to let myself get too excited until she's actually here and i am holding her and i know it's real, but....

On the agenda for today are a gift exchange w/ a friend,job searching,watching season 2 of Dexter, etc.
 
Today I fell asleep in the middle of the afternoon because I was just that damn tired, woke up a few hours later still feeling tired.

No, the year isn't over yet. It won't be over for a few months.

Dec 29: I ate some rice for lunch and sneezed. I think a grain of rice is lodged in my sinuses.
