Battlestar Galactica

I think he'll get a sympathy frak from Kara.

Like Hot Dog said, who hasn't she frakked?

It was good, but I felt not as good as last weeks, the pacing seemed off, instead of going at a breakneck pace towards certain doom, it was fast, slow, fast, slow, like some MTV video.

I did like the pen friend joke though, people getting stabbed with pens seems to be becoming a recurring motif.

The last meal bit with Baltar was good though, and Zarek and Geeta smiling at the face of death because they knew they did what was right, in a way they faced death better than Adama, spitting and scowling his way to the end.

"I'M COMING TO GET YOU ALL!"

Scary, if anything!

Another great episode. First, and most important, Racetrack didn't die. She looked hot the for the brief moment we saw her. But laughing with Zarek? WTF? Maybe it was nervous laughter. The bitch. She should have joined Adama's group at the end (and that was cool how people just started appearing out of nowhere to march to CIC with him.) Do we know what her story that was cut out was yet?

Captain Kelly breaking down in the memorial hall was a great scene. His acting was really good throughout, actually. Maybe they should have used him more throughout the series (though I guess the actor wasn't available?) Weren't him and Tyrol friends WAY BACK in the mini series? That scene between them was really great continuity if they were.

Tubby Tyrol crawling through the Jeffries' tubes was funny too. And the FTL drive looking like the crushing thing from Galaxy Quest.

Baltar TURNED DOWN SEX. That's pretty major character development. Seems like he actually does care about his flock a bit.

Why does Sebastian Spence (Narcho) get a special guest star credit? He was pretty good acting wise too. Everyone was in fact.

Still felt a bit bad for Gaeta in the end. Not for Zarek, he's just an evil bastard (he murdered the qurom!) but Gaeta I think remained a sympathetic character because you could kind of see where he was coming from and you could tell he was even realising he was in the wrong throughout the episode but he was powerless to stop what he'd put in motion. Giving him one last scene with Baltar was a really nice touch too after all they've been through together.

Always good to see Lampkin, though he wasn't really essential to the plot here unlike in his previous appearances. Still, he killed a marine with a pen then retrieved his sunglasses, so that's pretty cool.

I wonder if they'll have time to deal with all the mutineers on the next episode, or if it'll be all about Cylons getting their memories back. Maybe if they just forget about them, Racetrack won't have to die.

Well with yet more deaths Galactica needs all hands on deck. Maybe Skulls with be in sickbay with Anders and he'll say "FRAK OFF, I DON'T WANT TO BE NEXT TO NO CYLON" and Anders will say "yeah well I don't want to be next to no ######!" to show that racism against cylons is JUST AS BAD as racism against blacks. Or something.

Then Tori, the Indian Cylon walks in and the universe explodes.

Where'd they find the resurrection tank?

Then Simon walks in and everyone say "who the frak are you!"? Even the other cylons.

It's the super sekret final five resurrection tub o' goo. I wonder if that Centurion they show in the previews is next to the tub Ellen wakes up in, or if they just want us to think that.

^I think they're guarding her.

What are you talking about?

Or it's a flashback from before the Hub was destroyed.

Then where has she been hiding?

With Cavil, perhaps.

Remember when Cavil wore a hat for some reason?

And there was a black cylon?

Simon! He lobotomises raiders now.

He was gonna lobotomize Ellen too!

I don't know what to think about this one. It had some good bits, and a lot of questions were answered, but the answers were silly. Ellen is the queen bee Cylon, she created all the other skinjobs because of the One True God thing the Centurions believed. She figured out how to recreate the downloading technology that was lost between them leaving Kobol and reaching earth (or whatever that was all a confusing).

Cavil's real name is John, he was named after Ellen's father. Who the fuck was her father? A Lord of Kobol? So, John, is an angry little boy with mommy issues. AND he killed the mysterious 7 aka Daniel. Daniel the sensitive artist.

John Hodgman (whom I love as a comedian) was terrible as the brain surgeon. I expected him to tell Blanders "I'm a PC, you're a Mac".

The PC doctor guy reminded me of Dr Okun from Independence Day. He's spent too long on whatever ship he came from...

Man, I don't have a clue what happened in this episode. I'm gonna read this week's Chicago Tribune article and if that doesn't clear things up I'll have to watch the episode again a couple of times.
