The MF Week in Review: 4/06-13/09

Maybe Eggs is just having a bad week in rl. Don't worry, there's nothing bad going down in the MF.

Yeah, we took the list quite seriously at times, but why not, eh? I thought it was fun to debate a little about who should be included and to remind us all of the great characters we might've forgotten about since various shows ended. I don't think anybody's feelings were really hurt or anyone got genuinely pissed off, so no harm done.

We should have a top 10 evil villains list next time.
 
If something is worth doing it's worth doing right. - May be a cliche but it's still true.

I was a bit OCD with my original list and I was OCD with Wacky's list as well because I like these things to look nice and work as intended.

But at some point everyone started getting a bit shirty with each other.

Brothers and sisters of the Mine Field. Let us not fight one another.

OK, so it's hardly World War III but this is the first time in living memory I've remembered not everybody getting on like a house on fire down here.

Someone go and find Eggs and tell him its group hug time.
 
I think a lot of the tension was more imagined than real, I think we were getting upset for each other without actually upsetting each other, if that makes any sence.
 
At least this way we've given Pickle enough jack-off material to last for years.

If anything, we should have debated the choices on the list more. Why bother with a discussion thread if we're not going to discuss the choices? None of us are going to leave forever over something like that, we love each other too much. The way it turned out, neither list is a top 100 list, they were a race to get favorites in before the 100 slots ran out. Next time we should try to come to an agreement before characters/shows are added, not after. Sometimes we know something will be mutually agreed upon, (Captain Kirk, for instance), and other times we know there will be some debate.

Well if you consider Flexo and Boba Fett as placeholders then we have two spare slots available.

Angel should certainly get one of them.
 
Maybe we should've each had a list of 10-15 characters we wanted on the list and then debated which should get added from those. A lot of the popular characters would be repeated in the lists, so not counting those and the ones we collectively agreed weren't suitable we'd each have a more or less equal share of picks. Probably about 5-7 picks each in the end.
 
Mabye we should build a super intelligent computer to make the list for us so it's perfect next time.

Yes, but it won't let people touch and kiss and stuff, and Kirk will have to come and destroy it, thus endangering society like he did with every super computer.
 
Maybe we could have a premier league top 100 and a division one top 100, then have relegation and promotion?
 
So let's make a new one, I suggest everyone makes a poll thread with his/her favorites, everyone votes on the ones they aggree with, get rid of the 100 entries limitation and voila: the best genre TV series characters list. If we do it like that, maybe this time I will fast enough to add him:

I missed out on the whole list thing drama.
 
There wasn't really much drama, it just seems that way because we keep talking about it.
 
Yeah, and we were all getting along just fine in chat, so it only seemed like we were :rwmad: on the forum.
 
Well, until you left chat and we all talked about how much we hate you, that is.
 
That chat got ugly fast.

(I was reading the thread after *it* happened, and emphatic passerby that I am, I cut my wrists for nothing. I could have used some pillzlol. *whines a bit*)
 
You could at least bleed all over a photo of yourself, scan it and post it here, Ilyanna.
