I want to smell dark matter
It was okay. Wasn't all that funny for the first half hour to be honest. Wish Coogan had been it longer but I suppose he had a good part other than the screentime. Downey was great though I had a hard time understanding a word he said at first. Stiller was the same character as always, but luckily it's a funny character. I wish the interent hadn't kept hyping up the Tom Cruise cameo as THE MOST AMAZING HILARIOUS THING EVER because it wasn't. But it was amusing.

Not as good as Zoolander.
 
the shittiest ben stiller film i have ever seen, and i love that dude.
 
Was better than Meet The Fockers.

I didn't really like Dodgeball either.
 
I downloaded Tropic Thunder a while back and still haven't watched it. Maybe later.
 
take your time. there are three or four good moments. they are good, but that's all there is. ymmv.
 
I'd agree that Tropic Thunder is better than Fockers and Dodgeball (which I didn't like either) but it stops there. It's not terrible. And is funny in places but is nowhere near the genius of Zoolander and the semi genius of Meet the Parents.

I HATE Ben Stiller yet I found this movie hilarious. IS THERE A BEN STILLER TROPIC THUNDER COROLLARY IN HERE SOMEWHERE???

Steve Coogan's bits were the best bits.

The problem with the Tom Cruse bit is that the entire joke is "lol it's Tom Cruise bald and fat", which is funny for about half a scene.
 
The dance didn't really seem to fit the character or make any sense in the context of the movie.

Seriously, that monologue just hit me between my eyes and I about died laughing. Also the kid and the bridge. How is that shit not hilarious.
 
I want to watch it, even if it isn't the funniest movie evar. I don't really like Ben Stiller, but I love Robert Downey Jr.
 
Oh yeah, the bit where Black was tied to the tree detoxing was very funny. "I'll cup the balls, stroke the shaft and drink down the gravy, baby!" or whatever.

Love Ben Stiller. wasn't a Downey fan until I saw Iron Man. But its coming to Cinemax in June so I'll probably watch it then.

I thought Tropic Thunder was awful! Robert Downey was the only good thing about that stinker.
