Maybe this will cause their break up. I don't remember Sookie doing that in the book, but I don't really remember much about Jessica either. My brains are mush.

Also, the whole Jason bit is kinda annoying.

It was good, but I can see the same weaknesses happening here that occasionally happened in Six Feet under: sometimes, the show gets too downbeat because ALL the characters have intense conflict or threats going on at the same time. There's no comic relief, everywhere you turn, someone's in peril or anguish.

You have to let up, not everyone can be tied to the railroad tracks at the same time. This is the same problem with John Wells shows (ER, Third Watch, post-Sorkin West Wing, etc).

But shirtless Jason helps.
 
Even The Sopranos had funny parts, from time to time.
 
True Blood does too.. just not in the first couple episodes this season. The first season had a lot of quirky humor, I hope they're not going to make the show too dark.
 
They should bring back Barnabas Collins, he was always good for a laugh.

I liked the LaFayette/Eric parts, there were a few funny lines there.

I'll say one thing too:

Anna doesn't look so hot this season. Her hair looks awful and she looks like she has bags or something under her eyes.
 
^She's got leftover bruises under her eyes still from when she was attacked by Rene.
 
I thought her hair was really cute! But yeah, the "bags" are actually bruises from the black eye Rene gave her.

I NEARLY NEGGED LOKTAR

I wish the bruises would hurry up and heal, but every episode only covers like a couple of hours so she could have them all season.
