OK, how about "favorite genre films that never had a sequel"?

Big Dick McGee

If you don't know, now ya know
Sooo many great movies spawned endless sequels. But there are a few gems (mostly from when I was a kid), that were just perfectly self-contained little morsels of goodnees. I would have included TRON on this list, but they're just now making a sequel. Here are mine, I won't ask you to rank 'em:

Big Trouble in Little China
Dreamscape
Blade Runner
The Last Starfighter
Night of the Comet
E.T.
The Dark Crystal
Beetlejuice
The Sixth Sense (admittedly, it'd be impossible to make a sequel to this)

What are yours? I know I'm missing some!

(As a side note, did you know they made a sequel to A Christmas Story, Lawrence of Arabia, and Bridge on the River Kwai to name a few?)

Serenity, The Fifth Element, SEX MOVIE 69

Fifth Element is a GREAT one!

Big Trouble in Little China FTW. What were we supposed to think with the ending credits? ARGH! <g>

Wasn't it great when Hitler exploded? Then Michael Douglas caught the knife and said "It's all in the miscasting", and Kurt Russell beat him to death with an ashtray. That needed a sequel. So did Kim Cattrall falling into water, standing up with obvious pokies, and then suddenly being dry in the next shot.

The ending wasd the monster underneath Snake Plissk...I mean Jack Burton's truck, right?

^^I would have included TRON, but there's a sequel coming out next year.

Did you know that Robert Beltran was in "Night of the Comet"?? He played "Hector Gomez".

Both Night of the Comet and The Last Starfighter star one of my favorite "lusted after when I was a teen" actresses, Catherine Mary Stewart. I LOVED her.

Duel. ( idont know if there was a sequel)

Ever seen Jeepers Creepers? Half that movie is practically a sequel to Duel. Or a rip off.

I reckon a Total Recall sequel might've been quite good.

Dirty Dancing SRSLY.

The Fellowship Of The Ring.

^^That movie was so successful, it spawned TWO sequels, both vastly inferior.
