Say whatever you will about him personally, Nixon was a decent president.

You continue to make the mistake of thinking I'm a Republican. I'm not. I disliked Bush as much as the next guy.

But not being Bush doesn't serve to give Obama a blank check. "Bush did it too," is a particularly weak excuse. In the areas where Obama isn't flat out continuing Bush policies (see: Guantanamo), he's progressing them (see: bailouts, federal deficit: FOUR TIMES Bush's largest). While Bush was setting records running up the deficit, the left cried that he spent too much, and he did, but with Obama making Bush look like a coupon clipping grandmother, all we get is constant worship from the left. Indeed, it's not just the budget, not just the economy. The Patriot Act was awful, but have you paid any attention to what Obama's been doing? The media sure hasn't.

While this buffoon rips apart our economy and wrecks the nation, he's stripping away civil liberties and setting up his own little tinpot dictatorship, and you people are all too blinded by his cult of personality to see what's staring us all in the face.

I don't doubt that this course was inevitable, it's how the country's been moving for almost a century and a half, but Obama's doing it faster than ever before.
