I was satisfied with this week's required "Ewww, you'd never see that on CBS" moment when...

Maryann was graphically gored by Sam's bullhorn, and bounced up and down on it a few times. I don't count the heart-crushing that finished her off because I have seen that on other shows.
 
i just downloaded season 2 episode 12...can't wait to see it!;

True Blood star Michelle Forbes has reportedly expressed her displeasure at the series being snubbed by the Emmy Awards.

The actress, who plays Maryann Forrester on the vampire drama, said that there is "no glory" in award shows.

She told E!: "Excuse me, but f**k awards! That's not where the glory is. The glory is in the audience.

"That's who we tell the stories for. It's not for, with all due respect, the critics and not for the awards shows, but for the audience."

The 44-year-old recently revealed that her portrayal of the mysterious Bon Temps resident is open for interpretation and explained that she does not view her as a villain.

BTW, True Blood won an Emmy at the preliminary awards for Outstanding Casting for a Drama.
 
Curses! I have to work (having a tea break right now), but I'm dying to watch TB! I can see the little file there on my HD all ready and waiting to be opened. :(

My review of the season finale: "Meh."

Sorta underwhelming. Some funny bits with dumbass Jason, but otherwise it didn't live up to previous episodes, IMHO.
 
How come Maryann can take control of Jason? Shouldn't he be the same as Sookie?

BALL: Nothing I can talk about. But certainly we will see more and more of Lafayette. He built a lot of walls around himself. But we will see him get vulnerable next year — and not just being afraid of Eric.

I'm sure that last thing about Hoyt's mom was a joke. He wouldn't give that away, since that's what the cliffhanger was all about!

Just saw it, it was preeetty gooood I guess:

It was interesting that they pretty much wrapped up the Maryann plot as quick as they did, almost too quick possibly. It did, however, give a chance for us to see the aftermarth of what happened on the town, which isn't something you really get to see after a season finale in something like this.

One thing that did annoy me was Jessica. Please don't make Jessica bad, she's lovely. Please don't make her be killed of, she's like the best person on the show. Just have her be awesome like she ahs been sop far instead of making her evil because you don't know what to do with the character.
 
Also, here's a question:

Sookie drank Eric's blood she started having all the sexy dreams about Eric. Now Bill apparently had to let Sam drink a lot of his blood in this episode to heal him. So... will Sam start having sexy dreams about Bill?

I thought Sam had to see an animal to turn into it? When did he see the bull?

I'll miss Michelle Forbes. And we never even got to see her naked. :(

Jessica! Don't be evil!

I hope they like properly plot out all of season three before and get the pacing right, becasue this season suffered from some stories seeming dragged out, while some characters (Layfayette, Eric in the last few eps) didn't get much to do. It's a pretty good show but could be a lot better.
 
They would have gone to see a bull before going to the party, I'm sure. Or Sam had just seen one in the past.. if I'm not mistaken there are lots of brahman cattle ranches in La, so him having seen one already wouldn't be out of the question.
