The Nobel committee awarding this to a man that even to this point has not done one fucking thing is insane and stupid and lessens what was once a prestigious award. I didn't SAY the Nobel committee wasn't at fault for this miscarriage I said Obama should have been a MAN instead of a press hungry whore and admitted his sorry, good for nothing ass didn't deserve it.

I have more pride in America for the OTHER Nobel Prizes that we won:
Americans Elinor Ostrom and Oliver Williamson won the Nobel economics prize for their work in economic governance.
Ms. Olstrom is the first woman to win the Economics Nobel Prize. She developed an analysis of economic governance. Her work had demonstrated how common property can be successfully managed by groups using it.
Her co-winner developed a theory where business firms serve as structures for conflict resolution.
Last week, American scientists Elizabeth H. Blackburn, Carol W. Greider and Jack W. Szostak shared the Nobel Prize in medicine for discovering a key mechanism in the genetic operations of cells, an insight that has inspired new lines of research into cancer. Answer me this: What had Obama done to TRULY deserve the prize besides spew a bunch of pretty words-- only to decide to go against those words by talking about stepping up troops in an already volatile area, and tell Americans a bunch of lies?
As much as I dislike Hillary Clinton, what she did this weekend to broker vetter ties between Turkey and Armenia is far more deserving of the NP than anything Obama did. I realize it was after the fact-- but still more deserving...

Agreed-- but thus far, Obama has not made things better. His campaign was based on lies.
Only one example: during his campaign, he struck Hillary for supporting a health care mandate. Now that he's in office, he has totally flipped his stance. That makes him look like a liar at worst, or at the very least-- irresolute.
Neither of those is a good leadership quality.
Another reason I dislike Obama: This country needs a leader, not an appeaser.

It's just an indication of the blind worship the majority of the world has for him. Seriously, he's not done anything-not 1 thing-since taking office. He ran on a platform of "Change" and "Hope"; now people should be thinking, "I Hope he can Change things".

I didn't advocate the president be assassinated but I wouldn't cry either. Obama isn't a president to me, he's a useless waste of a vote for a better country by people that will never learn. If he died it would be, for me, just like any other human being dying, sad, even tragic, but he's no Martin Luther King, Jr...Despite what the modern Nobel committee might think.
What I'm SO VERY disgusted by is that this man, with all of his empty promises, is taking meaningful awards and making them nothing short of garage sale trinket. Do you honestly believe that Obama belongs in the ranks of Martin Luther King Jr. and Mother Theresa? Get serious.

Um, I never thought (or claimed) he was either of those people, or even someone who should get their table at the Palm. No, he's a politician that fate brought to this moment. The award is an indication of what the world expects from him. And in his first several months in office, he's made the freshmen mistake of believing that true bipartisanship could be achieved by him shaking hands and slapping backs. His party wants to go ahead and use their majority for all they can squeeze out of it, like any majority should (like the Repugs had done for most of the last 28 years). He needs to stop being such a game show host and get his hands dirty. He's already potentially fucked up true healthcare reform by being so conciliatory. He needs to shake that off and get tough on the rest of his party's platform. I should think the opposition would expect nothing less.
