So Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize...

Oh crap! Has Project Runway started? I love that show because, you know, Heidi is my girl crush. I know it's on Lifetime now but when?

Glee looks hilarious but BDM has so much crap recording I don't know if we can fit it in. We'll catch it on reruns.

Community is my new favorite show.

If Obama hasn't had time enough to prove whether he should even be mentioned n passing for a Nobel Peace Prize, let alone win it, (he hasn't) then surely by the same token it's a bit early and a bit telling to be screaming at the man for everything and wishing death upon him as well?

Obama is going to make mistakes. That's just a given. He's made a fair share already though I would argue while his policies are always going to divide people due to the nature of political discourse and opinion it's time to give them a go because Neo-Con rule has clearly not had any of the answers and those who have supported the policies of that failed government and the radical positions taken in stark contrast to your own Constitution and who then turn round screaming blue murder about Obama being a Socialist racist who is inevitably going to destroy America come off a little hollow.

Ultimately it's the Norwegian Nobel Prize Committee that have massively trolled America over this. Obama didn't go seeking this award and it genuinely seems to have come as a huge shock to him. He's said straight up he doesn't feel he deserves it and so I don't get why people are flipping out. The NNPC are probably guilty of taking what is an internationally recognized award and cheapening it due to political opinion. In this case rebuking George Bush and his policies. Shame on them. But it's really not Obama's fault.

For now let's just enjoy the Republican talking heads try and twist this in to another issue about his race like they've been obsessing with since he got in office more than ANYBODY else. Maybe Limbaugh will explode in a fit of rage.

Runway is Thursdays at 10PM, now on Lifetime instead of Bravo (ugh). There's also a companion show that airs right after called Models of the Runway; you can guess what they focus on. Sometimes it's interesting. This season PR is in Los Angeles, so you should be even giddier! (They filmed it last year though)

There's also a new Top Chef Wednesdays at 10PM on Bravo; and I'm watching Dancing with the Stars, Mon/Tues on ABC. You just missed Tom DeLay, Debi Mazar, Kathy Ireland and Macy Gray, who already got the boot.

Working from home means the TV is never off in my living room. ;)

Oh, and Real Housewives of OC starts up again on Thurs. Nov. 5th. They're still my favorite coven of all the RH's.

The big question on everyones lips is has Glenn Beck cried over this issue?

He cries over every issue. His bag of tricks is quite sparse.

At least he's in touch with his emotions.

Bravo is edgy, Lifetime is mommy but what are you going to do? I was pretty sure it was in LA this season because the rags showed Heidi and Seal in LA a majority of the year...Kind of lame because LA is in no way fashion central, PR belongs back in NY.

Did BDM tell you that he was cruising down Sunset on his way to a project and lo and behold sitting next to him in traffic was Heidi and Seal? I was sooooo jealous!!

I will tune in this Thursday and hopefully catch up when they rerun it over the weekend.

I'm not a big fan of DWTS, bad celebrity dancers embarrass me.

Oh and I would just like to say that I am very well aware that Obama didn't choose himself for the Nobel Prize, I'm not blaming him but I do believe he should have declined it and I also believe that he thinks he deserves it or at best, will deserve it.

Don't pigeon hole me, I've got big beefs with both sides and I am flat Libertarian. Most likely I will either not vote in the next election or will go strictly with my beliefs. I can't stand the two party system anymore. I believe the day will come when Independents, Libertarians, and the Green party stand a chance. I look forward to telling my grandchildren tales of George W. Bush's last blundering years in office and how it got an incompetent democrat elected....Way back when only two parties had a voice.

If you have digital cable, one of Lifetime's junior channels (LRW) runs every PR and models episode all Sat/Sun, literally around the clock. It's insane.

The award is an indication of what the world expects from him.

Has the WHOLE ENGLISH-SPEAKING WORLD forgotten the pluperfect (past perfect) tense?

The Nobel Prize was to be dedicated to the person or people "WHO SHALL HAVE DONE the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses", not "WHO IS EXPECTED to do...".

That's the issue here. Obama made a 'promise', for America... yet he goes against the stipulation outlined in the last phrase-- in that he is looking to increase our military presence in Afghanistan (among other things). That is why I personally don't believe that Obama deserves the prize, not because he's "black", or a Democrat, or a total buffoon, or for any other personal reason, other than that he simply hasn't fulfilled the wishes of the prize's founder as I understand them.

Let's all just agree that we hate T'Bonz.

The boohat!

It's going to be ok Eggs.

Now ask me if I give a flying fuck if the rest of the world is warming up to us finally. Didn't care before Obama, don't care now so but that in your pipe and smoke it.

this sort of attitude is why america is so reviled around the world in the first place. that and our habit to shove our noses and gun muzzles in other people's business, especially when it helps the price of oil stay low.

it's easy for any american to completely forget that there are several other billion people on the planet. there's so much here - there is so much america to explore you'd be hard pressed to find someone you know that has been to every state. there are plenty of people that don't know where canada or mexico are on a map. our elementary schools are filled with maps of "north america" that are simply the continental united states with alaska and hawaii off to the lower left. those maps have created an isolationist state of mind that perseveres to this day, who needs to learn about the rest of the world when you have a place as large as this as your home? frankly i find it all pretty shocking, the idea that you could be "satisfied" with your nation as the only one necessary.

let's get this straight - we are all earthlings. americans, that is to say those of us living in the united states (as "the americas" are technically all of north and south america) aren't the only people on the planet. we are not god's chosen nation. god shouldn't bless america. the idea that the rest of the world can piss off and leave america alone needs to die, and make the death bloody.

what happens in 2012 when a massive whole in the ice glaciers of greenland drops that entire island continent's shoreline fifteen feet below sea level and thus raises the coastline of every coast in the world twenty feet? what happens when hundreds of thousands of refugees from south america pour into the united states looking for help? what, we just close our borders, flip the bird to every nation that needs us and go watch cable?

granted, the above scenario is hypothetical, but the questions it asks are hard hitting to those with an isolationist perspective. we're all earthlings, it's time we consider the fact that living in another country does not take away your right to happiness.
