I really HATE "Distant Origin". Great idea or concept which V'GER botched immensely & on so many levels:frusty:

I still like V'GER, despite it's valleys.

It did become "Gilligan's Quadrant" in many ways, which was DUMB. I don't mean literally, but with things being WAY TOO EASY too often & endless supplies & weapons & soap & entc ent al.

& WAY too much αQ in the δQ.

And what about the Borg? Scorpion parts 1 & 2 were definitely above average (especially for Voyager) and the story came off pretty well but it is marred by being the start of the "Borg era" which would see the Borg become totally and utterly pussified.

As much as I hated "Distant Origins", I think Gegen should've joined V'GER's crew.

He could've become an intermittent supporting character.

Plus, Gegen would become, be to V'GER, what Hawk was to Buck Rogers.
