Yes, yes, "Casino Royale" was the best Bond film in decades. I haven't seen Quantum of Solace yet, but it's definitely on my short list. And yeah, Daniel Craig is good as Bond.

BUT...man, Brosnan just was James Bond. From the suits, to the quips, to the understated threat of violence, you just believed he was a spy at the top of his game. Imagine if he were given great material like Casino Royale?

I understand he was a bit long in the tooth to keep playing Bond, and it would've been silly to have him in a reboot. But oh what might have been.
 
I can't remember if I've seen it.
 
It's the one with Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist. You'd remember that.

Oh and Robert Carlyle as a guy with a bullet in his head.
 
And Sophie Marceau looking smokin throughout. My favourite bit is the chase down the Thames, though.
 
Yeah, I mean the movies themselves were just OK, but Brosnan just exuded class and charm and Bond-ness, IMHO.
 
Brosnan was great, but I actually prefer him as Thomas Crown. But I just like criminals. ;)
 
GoldenEye is pure ownage. The other Brosnan Bond films not so much. He was great as Bond though, yeah.

Tarrentino wanted to make a Bond film with Brosnan.
 
GoldenEye is easily one of the best Bond movies ever. I don't know why they had to go full retard with the sequels. By the time they had Madonna cameos and invisible cars I just gave up.
 
Goldeneye is fanfuckingtastic. Great score, and Sean Bean being sexy with a scar in a way only he can be. SCORE
 
Casino Royale was good but everyone said Quantum of Solace was shit so I won't bother watching it?

That was the climax to the chase down the Thames I mentioned from The World Is Not Enough. It was the best part of the movie, really. Segued nicely into the intro. He falls down the side of the Dome and into the credit sequence as a silhouette.
