I can't find the old V thread :rwmad:

Anyway...

I think this episode was called "Welcome to the War". It was really good, just enough recap to remember what happened when they left off, with some decent forward movement as well.

LIZARD SEX!

Elizabeth Mitchell is great, and I like where they're going with the resistance. Does anyone know the name of the new guy? The terrorist guy they're getting to help them learn how to fight? He is kinda hot.

I CAN'T FIND V AT ALL

I think because it's just one sodding letter the sodding search engines can't sodding find it.

HEY FUDDLEMIFF

SO YEAH, it was a good episode. The fight at the start was pretty cool. I guess Anna is going to have loads of eggs and they'll grow into warriors. Oh, and she ate that guy. That was hot.

Juliet should probably just let her son die.

Blergh. The show is really, really dumb. It insulted my intelligence that anyone would believe the V could get the fingerprints off the bomb, and the whole episode was just really flat to me. I'm giving the show another ep or two to wow me before I drop it.

Well, if they can heal people with TRICORDERS then it's not so out there that they could zoom in on a planted fingerprint.

Yeah this episode would've been great if it had been aired right after the previous one, but it took a LOOONNGG WHHIILLLEE to get back into the episode after all this time.

Which wasn't the shows fault, it was whoever decided having months between episode's fault.

I read somewhere (maybe it was one of Mo Ryan's articles) that they took all that time off to sexy up the show a little. Make it slicker and darker OR SOMETHING.

I am rooting for the Vs! Their adoption of FASCISM simply turns me on.

V is also proof-positive that fascism is an superior ideology. After all, look how much more advanced the fucking lizards are than Humanity. They PWN technologically. Now, who else was FASCIST and PWNed in a very similar manner? Oh yes, that would be the Germans, Italians and Japanese.

FASCISM PWNs!! Hitler would make DIAN his bitch. She's an amateur by comparison.

Why no Vs baking Jews? This would attract a far wider audience.

V is fiction! I know the stuff on your TV seems so REAL that you might mistake it for something that is actually occurring, but there really aren't lizard people hovering over Manhattan!

TORI FOSTER HAS NICE LIPS

There aren't lizards hovering over Manhattan, just Canada pretending to be Manhattan. That's how much Canadians secretly wish they were AMERICANS!

(Is this how that "trolling" thing works?)

Anyway, it was generally a good episode. No, Sausage, I'm not gonna say it was crap. I agree the fingerprint thing was retarded though. I mean, it stretched credibility enough that they could tell it was C4 (with "C4" written on it) using that method, nevermind finding a fingerprint. Their Heisenberg Compensators must've been working overtime. The fact that the characters all bought it shouldn't seem so odd considering all the other stuff the Vs can do, but you'd still expect some scepticism.

The baby stuff seemed a bit obvious. A bit too horror B-movie. Mouse craving was a nice touch, though.

Pretty much all the stuff with Inara was bad. Camp and badly acted, like a Bond villain from one of the franchise's lesser movies. To be fair, though, I think a lot of this has to do with every single scene on the V ship being filmed in front of a green screen. It must be hard to get into the moment when all you see around is neon green glaring back at you. All the other actors get proper sets.

Don't care about Juliet's son.

The one real positive in this show is that they keep the pace going. It might be a bit schlocky at times, but it's never boring and never stops developing the story.

Everytime I see that V doctor (the one who's secretly a good guy) I always think he's Jame Marsters FOR A SECOND.

He was the worst actor in the whole of this episode, but in previous eps he was really good!

Not just some scepticism, all of it. Each and every one of those agents knows by heart what kind of evidence is admissible in court, and what kind isn't. That they jumped for joy with "We've been waiting to pin something concrete on him" was outright ridiculous, because a defence lawyer could very easily tear that shit apart.

The agents aren't really in control of things anymore, though. The V's have their scaly claws in everything.. who knows what will be admissible in court with the V's super tech.

ALSO.. Juliet was skeptical! She didn't buy it for a second and figured out what Anna was up to almost immediately.

Is this show like...any good?

It's alright. BETTER THAN VOYAGER! OH I forgot, you love Neelix.

NOTHING IS BETTER THAN VOYAGER! Neelix should have been captain of the Enterprise.

You're probably better off rewatching the first season of Earth: Final Conflict.

But its got spaceships and hot chicks, it has to be good right? Like BSG.
