True Blood "Beyond Here Lies Nothin" PLUS S2 analysis AND advance S3 squee-ness

LOOKING FORWARD TO SOOKIE'S NIPPLES.

June 13!

I know I'm way off the mark, but as many of you know, I tend to eschew watching TV shows as they come out weekly, preferring to wait for the boxsets.

I've gone through True Blood Series 2 in 2 sittings - it's truly shaping up to be an exceptional series. Firstly, the relatively small number of episodes per season for a US Series suits it perfectly.

Secondly, the series is spoiled with some great actors. This isn't unusual for TV - it's amazing how many good actors are left to TV, and never pitch up in movies.

Anna Paquin, is of course, excellent. Ryan Kwanten is great as the dim Jason Stackhouse. All through Michelle Forbes is awesome in everything, and appears to have simply stopped ageing. Alexander Skarsgård is fucking awesome as Eric Northman - a man so unbelievably pretty, even I find him good looking.

Rutina Wesley - great. Sam Trammell - Great. Hoyte's Mum is also great. The only one who doesn't do much for me is Stephen Moyer. I don't get 'leading man' feelings from him.

Looking forward to Season 3 now - I hope they don't kill Eric off!

I think Eric is in the show for a long while yet!

What's great is I listened to the DVD commentary, and the change some of them have done with their voices is astounding. If Ryan Kwantan hadn't introduced himself, I would have never known it was him because he has that sexy deep Australian accent.

Then Stephen Moyer's accent his very cultured and British, where as Alexander sounds just like he does when he pretends to be a human in "Timebomb."

I highly recommend listening to the commentary with Anna Paquin and Michelle "Mishka" Forbes on the season finale. Those two are a hoot together. You can tell Michelle had great fun with her character, and these two were so busy laughing at themselves, it just seemed like they got along great.

^interesting background details...thanks!

and yeah, it is a hoot hearing them talk in their true accents.

Sam and Ryan do the episode where Jason is THE GOD WHO CUMS.

Bill, Eric and a director do "Timebomb."

Lafayette and a director do the second episode of the season.

Tara, Alan Ball, and someone else do the third to last episode.

And yes, I'm just a tad drunk, which is why I can't remember the fucking episode names except for Timebomb. Grrrrr...

Michelle Forbes is on the short list of women who have my permission to try and turn me straight.

I would pay serious money for the chance to spend 10 minutes rummaging through Ryan Kwantan's hamper.

TOMORROW NIGHT!

YOU'RE ALL INVITED TO MY TRUE BLOOD PARTY THAT I WOULD THROW IF YOU ALL CAME LIKE THE GOD WHO CUMS

I'm actually going to catch the rerun at midnight -- being a Gay™, I will be watching the Tony Awards from 8-11pm.

But I will not be watching sober.

I'll be watching it later off my DVR. My brother won't be home until 8 or 9 PM and then I'll be having a late dinner and washing our dishes.
