^^To be fair (and I'm NOT a NASCAR fan, 'cause I don't think squirrel, deer, possum, and #### make up the food groups), I think the decline in corporate sponsorship is more a side effect of the global economic meltdown than a decline in the sport's popularity.
 
The sport is pretty darn popular. I think BDM is right on that.
 
Yeah, but it's unwatchable. I try to tune in to the Daytona 500, and the races in Fontana (only 'cause I live in Fontana), and with all the wrecks and cautions, it gets boring. I'd honestly rather watch road course racing, but it seems like they only do that in Europe.
 
My older sister got hooked on NASCAR because she wants to have the sex with Jeff Gordon.

She is the sole NASCAR fan in the family. And we're East Coast white trash! We all belonged to bowling leagues and everything. SWEARTAGAWD.

I disagree.

I watched the whole thing and had a pretty good time.

It can be boring sometimes, but so can a lot of stuff.

The finish at this years was cool.

This 20 year old won, it was (I hope I am getting this all right) his second start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup, and he was the second youngest to ever win the 500.
 
Does this 20 year old have a name? Being a fan of NASCAR you really should know the names of the drivers.
