V SEASON TWO

nuV's executed more maturely than 80s V. And still is, despite its fatal flaws.

But...season 2 has done some truly dumb dumb dumby dumb dumb things. The emotion feces & soul diarrhea storylines. Anna's Interspecies Mating Quest/Mission, to which Concordia is so crucial, is like something straight out of an Ed Wood movie.

80s V's water & humans-as-food plots were retarded, especially the H2O plot as H2O's QUITE COMMON in the universe, a fact Kenny Boy Johnson was TOO EFFING LAZY to look up back in the early 80s.

Humans as food is silly, but it does have a Kanamit charm to it:cool:

nuEpisode of nuV on ABC tonight.

Let's see how cra-, err, what it's like.

This show seeks to be its cheese infected 80s parent, yet comes off more often than not like an A-Team or Leverage episode put through a No-Frills poor man's sci-fi grater.

This Week On V...

Good episode! I mean, they went to Bangkok for a meeting that lasted all of two minutes, but the globetrotting resistance movement thing made a change from the sitting in a basement scowling resistance movement thing.

Tyler's still a pussy even if he has a manlier haircut.

Once again it's impossible to tell which side some people are on, which certainly keeps things interesting...

Yeah it was an alright episode.

The pretty people looked pretty.

It was pretty good, just not as exciting as last week.

HOBBES AND ERICA ARE GOING TO DO IT, IMO

It was a good episode. No slowpoints and some good cheesey fun. The Anna/Lisa showdown was the highlight. And Anna's breasts.

I guess Diana has some evil plan going on too since she EVIL SMILED at the end.

I bet Diana has some supporters down on earth just waiting for her to communicate with them.

I keep hearing whispers that V might get canceled. Even though it's not the best show EVAR, I still enjoy watching it, hope they don't get rid of it :rwmad:

What happened to the Visitors wanting to extract the human soul? Why do they have to torture humans to remove their DNA? I'm pretty sure we can take DNA samples without doing that...

It was a decent episode anyway. I don't buy Juliet suddenly being all "FUCK IT, LET'S KILL HUMANS" but it's V and characters always just go from one extreme to the other over a few episodes. Nice bra breasts at the end.

Hey, Marcus is still alive, that's kind of interesting too.

Good points.

I`m trying to put nuV's Soul Thang out of my head. Made me wince.

DNA's an easy thing to get. Every haircut leaves tons of samples all over the barbershop floor. Torture for DNA is just drama for drama's sake.

I was glad to see Marcus at the end. Christopher Shyer would be great casting as a Vorta. Maybe he could've played Weyoun had Jeffrey Combs not been available.

Jeffrey Combs would've made a good Marcus. But with Marcus being so Weyoun-ish already, Combs' playing Marcus would basically make him neWeyoun. At least playing Ratchet on TF;P is a role off from playing baddies &/or dark characters for Combs. Plus Jeffrey Combs joins the manifest of Trek performers who play &/or have played TF.

I think they mentioned that week that Marcus was recovering well, but that's a good point about forgetting the soul storyline. I mean, she even got the doctor guy to make her a machine that could find the soul! Without knowing exactly what a soul was! And this week she's completely forgotten.

Oh well. I liked the ep. To me, Erica not worrying about killing humans makes sense. She's made sacrifices (albeit somewhat unintentionally), so why shouldn't others? It's annoyed me for a long time that they were so reluctant to do what it took, when the future of the whole planet was at stake. I thought it was just that the writers didn't want to have the good guys killing people, but now I wonder. It does make sense that generally peaceful people wouldn't want to hurt innocent humans, and that it would take a long time and a lot of pressure for them to feel comfortable going against their natures. Of course, Erica was lying when she said she thought the only tragedy was that the plan didn't work. I think she was sorry, really, but felt that when it came down to it, it was worth the lives for a chance to wipe the Vs out. And it was the Vs that actually killed them anyway.

The collapsing DNA ladders in the boys... really bad time to introduce it when you already have a plot about people trying to sabotage DNA. It just confused things. And supposedly, these boys were altered when they were embryos, so it's extremely convenient timing that they should suddenly start dying now, but from what we heard, it is genuinely supposed to be natural and not due to anyone scheming against Anna's plans.

I wonder what stops Diana Marshall from leaving that cave when everyone else can just come and go as they please.

Tyler seemed to completely forget that he caught his girlfriend cheating on him after that guy's innards started spilling out of his mouth.

I was hoping the DNA bombs would work and Tyler would die, but I suspected the plot would fail as soon as they told us what was causing the boys to turn to mush on the insides.

HOBBES AND ERICA DID IT.

Wow, when I saw that shot of Marcus at the end I actually did think "Weyounn" to myself. So that means I had the same thought as Aquehonga. That's pretty amazing!

:cool::techman:

I wonder what Marcus's relationship with Diana is, was?

I wish Anna would bliss Tyler TO DEATH :rwmad:

... I really don't know what to make of this show.

The whole V plan is so fucking confusing. They're trying to take human DNA to make super Vs or something...so why are they building cities to use as landing platforms for their invasion fleet? What are the fleet going to do? Surely they already have enough DNA. Why do they have to land on cities instead of just on the ground?

I kind of liked the bit with Chad being a dick again (for the greater good.) At least he got a story for the first time this season.

Morena Baccarin is awesome and continues to save the show.

Excellent points Admiral:techman:

nuVisitor's plot/plans a little less absurd than 80s Visitor's plans/plot. Both shows Visitor plans/plots ludicrous if you think about it.

Chad's a better resistor than Christine Walsh became in the last 5 seconds of her life.

Well at least we get the return of The Beastmaster for the season finale. I guess. Oh, and Jane Badler is still hot, even if she isn't a raging lesbo this time around.

OR IS SHE???

Maybe the season cliffhanger will be grandmother/grandauther incest.
