True Damned Thing

We're having a cool party tonight with a bunch of friends. I learned how to make mead, and we're having some ribs and Guinness for Game of Thrones at 9.
 
ah, you have a Nook? I like my Kindle HD for all that. Those Windows 8 notebooks are pretty cool (and cheap) now that 8.1 is out. I still hate that fucking OS. I'm never giving up 7.
 
I'm on vacation this week cleaning my daughter's stuff out of her half of my house. Its been about three years since she moved out. Its way past time. I want to gut and rehab my house or move.
 
I would like a new house.
My neighbor across the street does home construction, remodeling, tree service, etc.
The other morning I went out my front door to find three guys standing in my driveway
hoping to get a day labor job with the neighbor across the street.
I think he put a stop to it because he has a wife and young children at home all day.
Strange men lurking around is just a little freaky.
 
When my daughter moved out she left all her crap and it sat there for three years before I finally got rid of, gave everything away, kept what I wanted/saved for her in case she forgot, etc.

Same thing happened when my son moved out last year, except he's coming on Saturday to do his room, with the promise of a sixpack, takeout chinese and loud beatles music til midnight.

Success.
 
Then those two br's become my music studio and the wife's art studio. :D We're finally getting the cellar done and the bathrooms remodeled too. Then we'll paint the interiors and start the garden, if this damn winter will ever stop.

Kiddo has had all kinds of reasons not to get her stuff out of my house.
First year - moving 45 minutes away, new job, getting married again, her new husband already had a house full of stuff, becoming step-mom to two teenagers.
Second year - two major surgeries and several hospitalizations.
Third year - I've been busy on the weekends and she isn't allowed to drive now.
We aren't going to be completely finished today but at least everything I can throw out will be out.
She's sorted out what she wants to keep. I can finish packing those up, borrow a truck and haul it all over to her house.
Then I want to clean the entire house, then steam clean it, then sage it, salt it, clean it one more time, then demolish it and put a new house on my lot.
I love my mini-forest and my location.
