Do you remember the land lines?

I still have a landline. Combined with DSL and unlimited long distance it's about $100 a month. In the past you had to pay for long distance, so if you never made any long distance calls the bill wasn't much.

I don't have a landline, but Spectrum wanted to charge me for one. Had to call them and get that taken off my bill.
 
Last time I had a landline was somewhere around 2005 when I moved into my own place. I immedietly had it disconnected after getting soo many calls from the school telling me little Timmy hadn't showed up.

I don't have a child!
 
But seriously I considered what it would be like to go back to a landline last night. I was watching all of the Christmas adverts as I was watching Hulu. Showing all of the new phones and services offered. I cant' believe how much we pay nowadays. PLUS THE WHOLE TRACKING DEVICE LISTENING IN THING!

OMG Maybe he did! I think I recall actually calling the school and telling them they needed to update their phone number for this family. I am pretty sure I didn't pretend to be Timmy or Timmy's parents.
