I missed watching SNL live. I've got just the last sketch left probably. I was somewhere tonight and when I realized the time I really really wanted to leave. AAAAAAAHHHHHH I love Amy Poehler!!!!!!

Her and Bowen are in this one, I'm not enjoying it but thinking about those 2 together on stage makes me happy.
 
Watching the SNL Network after show-APPARENTLY THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST EPISODES hosted by a returning cast member.
 
Now I am watching/listening to Amy Poehler's podcast "Good Hang"
She is interviewing Kristin Wiig next-but she has Bill Hader on first and I just learned that he has 3 children-Hailey, Harper and Hannah. Wow, cool names.

It was the Sabrina Carpenter show, which is fine if you like that, but it played more like a Sabrina Carpenter Network Variety Special, a throwback to the 70s' golden age of variety on TV... which is everything that Young Lorne Michaels dismissed at the beginning of SNL, and vowed that this show would be different.

Weekend Update was tepid. It screamed out for Bowen Yang as George Santos, but Bowen was absent, away at some awards gala so he was only featured in one or two pre-taped bits this week.
 
Having Tina, Amy and Seth on weekend update last week really reminded me how funny they were and how not funny Che and Collin are.

To be fair, Colin would be just fine if it weren't for Michael trying to get him cancelled every week. Michael Che hasn't given a fuck for at least three years.
 
Unless Michael was a good re-writer/editor of sketches behind the scenes, I can't see why he's still there. Maybe Lorne doesn't want to split them up and lose Michael because of the optics. They already got rid of all the black women in the cast...

Nikki Glaser is a stand-up comedian, who kinda started shooting up after the Tom Brady roast, but she's been around for quite a while.

Nikki Glaser is a standup comic whose material is usually 18+. She's been on all the roast shows, and shows like @Midnight/AfterMidnight. She was a guest judge and mentor on an episode of RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars (the great All Winners season).

I thought the show was pretty good overall. It was refreshing to have a host who could actually take charge of their own monologue. The sketches were okay, and Nikki was good in many of them. There were more musical sketches than usual. Never heard of the musical guest, but he was easy on the eyes.
 
Those of you with DISH TV, they recently added another channel to their add-on streaming channels. 92-42 is a Saturday Night Live channel, with pretty much non-stop sketches spanning throughout the history. Haven't seen much from the 80's, but there's been a pretty good variety so far, with little repeat.
