Handy little site that offers a list of independent communities. It's how I found my current haunt. Funny enough they have TrekBBS on there.

The internet sure feels small these days.

This is a neat little site, thanks for posting it. The mainstream internet (social media, reddit, etc) is pretty much fully sloppified at this point, but there are still going to be people out there using the technology of connection to form communities.

I'm thinking now is the time that we'll see a resurgence in smaller online communities largely driven by the slopification of major sites. Peoples tolerance for inauthenticity is pretty high these days. Not counting the brain damaged individuals that are full on the AI media train of course. But when when you feel you're in an essentially empty space, stuck with a chatbot. You'll wonder why you're putting in the effort.
