A new continuing story

"I probably deserved that. I usually do," said Frank.

"Let me go to my parents...our house has just blown up...you can't keep me with you!"

"Natalie, things happened a lot faster than we predicted," said the Glower, urgently but as gently as possible. "We thought we'd have months to explain everything to you and train you..."

"Train me? For what?" she asked.

"You're special, Natalie," said Frank, bluntly. "You have powers. You're not human."

"Frank, for fuck's sake!" said the Glower.

"Like you said, mate, things happened a lot faster than we predicted," said Frank. "Whether she's ready or not, she has to hear the truth now."

"You're fucking crazy!" said Natalie, starting to walk away. Frank grabbed her. She struggled.

"I'll scream!"

"Not if I knock you out first," he said, with typical calm, then gave her something resembling a Vulcan nerve pinch. Natalie slumped back into his arms.

"Great," said the Glower. "I suppose you want me to carry her?"

"No need," said Frank. "I brought my invisible van."

"Things are looking up!" said the Glower, rolling his glowing eyes.

Haha.. the invisible van goes along with Frank's creepiness.

That douche. He's got the tact of an oncoming train.

Natalie had a strange dream where she was turned to atoms and flew from her bedroom with a man from the moon. Then she remembered it wasn't a dream. What was it then? Ah, a story she was writing, that was all. Yes, that was all. She sat back proudly, looking at her computer screen...but it was empty. Where was her story? She felt her legs start to disappear. Atoms! She jumped up and looked at herself in the mirror. She did not recognise the face looking back.

She awoke with a start. She was in some kind of moving vehicle. Frank was there.

"Where am I?" she asked, wondering if she could move quick enough to punch him again.

"In my invisible van," said Frank.

"I'm...I'm tired," said Natalie and she was.

"The drugs, sorry about that. You'll be quite weak for a while yet. But it's a long journey."

"Where are we going?"

"To my castle. The glower is driving as fast as he can. One of the advantages of an invisible van...you never get caught speeding."

"This is insane," she said, flatly.

"Yep," said Frank. "It sure seems that way. But it's not, not really. The world you used to live in? That's the insane one. There are things out there Natale, things right under your nose...and the ordinary people find a way to ignore them. Go on with their mundane lives, while the fate of the world is decided by people like me and the Glower. They're the crazy ones, Natalie, for not seeing. Your eyes have just been opened."

"Oh fuck off," she said, and lay back down.

"You'll thank me one day," said Frank. "Maybe after I'm dead, but you'll thank me."

"You're going to die? Good."

"It's bound to happen sooner or later, the life I lead."

Maybe Frank isn't so bad after all... Natalie should punch him again anyway.

He's a arse. I hate him on principle now. I fear Natalie will soften up to him and there will be Frank/Natalie sex, which I shudder at the prospect of.

The van crashed and they all died.

THE END

DAMN YOU WACKY!!

I wonder if the invisible van crashed into an invisible Taco Bell.

I'll continue it some day
