I've read spoilers (AGAIN) and I hope this doesn't mean we'll never see any of the other 40 or so survivors who never do anything again. Because whenever they pop up some nerd will poston TrekBBS "OMG IT'S JUST NIKKI AND POULO ALL OVER AGAIN!" and they'll have to waste an episode killing themoff.
 
I wonder if they planned to kill off Nikki and Paulo from the start or if they only did it because everyone hated them.

Steve and Scott were mentioned in season one. People kept confusing them for each other. Ethan murdered one of them.

Ethan was some kind of strange doctor - going around murdering people instead of saving them...IMHO.
 
No, that was one of the tail section survivors, killed by Goodwin (also an other the bastard.)
 
I think they planned on killing Nikki and Paulo all along, but not like this. They probably introduced them so some familiar faces could be killed by the Others or Smokey, but without having to sacrifice main characters. It's kind of like the crew of the Pegasus who all managed to get killed one by one. The only difference is that Nikki and Paulo were introduced in a shitty way that instantly made us all hate them.

They were supposed to be introduced shagging in Jacks tent while he was away being kidnapped, but that whole scene got cut.
 
They would have been loved then!
 
I just want to see Ian Somerholder again, with as little clothing as possible.
 
I really liked that episode.

It's a shame we only found out she was hot in this ep. Fan reaction might not have been so harsh.
