This is a work in progress. I thought I would do this publicly so people know (and can [strike]bitch[/strike]give constructive citicism about the way LC and I mod (or don't, as the case may be) the way we do (or don't.. gah, I get confused already). As far as I understood, once we have decided on the final "policy", LC will officially be made mod by mm and we can start to violate these rules

Pls keep in mind that I generally do not like to alter stuff posted in here, not even by merging it. There is a big difference to me if somebody has at any point agreed to have his/her posts merged/moved or if I do it without his/her consent. That is why, for example, I have never hesitated to merge Gagh's floods, but sincerely thought twice before doing so with one of LC's posts.
Also, most changes I do can be undone, so if I make a mistake, just say so.
Okay, I think those are the most important points right now. Please, and that goes especially to LC, comment, amend, criticize, ratify, bibble.

Da Mod Rulz under discussion:
- Deletion: will not happen by the BL mods, neither deletion of posts nor of threads, except if they go against TK policy (kiddie porn, personal info, that kind of stuff)
- Edits: will not happen unless the person who did the post/thread explicitly asks for it. Exceptions: see above, and I also reserve the right to add a NSFW warning in the thread title.
- Moving: Moving of threads into another forum will not happen unless the thread starter wants it to. Moving of posts into another BL thread will happen if the posts are considered floods. (see "merging")
- Merging: will be done if the posts/threads can be considered part of a
Flood (posting threads/posts with the same content over and over again)
In my understanding, the raison d'être for floods is the process of flooding itself, so they lose their right to exist as soon as the flooder is finished with his work. I will therefore merge any flood I will find into a thread dedicated for that purpose (think 'The Dump'). This thread will only be deleted/archived if mm is on the verge to purge. The deletion will not be without prior warning and done by mm alone. Oh, and as a rule of thumb, the flood has to span over more than one page to be considered merge-worthy without consent of the poster, imo.
- Spamming: posting threads/posts with different content all over the board)
The Badlands is a Spam forum, spam is treated exactly as any other post/thread in here and will only be merged if the poster has explicitly agreed to that.
- Very large threads (Spamcapital, anybody?): If the thread is so large that it causes people to wait (longer than usual for TK to load, it may be split up and/or archived, but not without prior warning and preferrably with the consent of those who posted the most in there.
