It is a stupid situation. City are not the only ones to blame but what they're doing is ridiculous.
I'm annoyed with some Arsenal fans who are constantly bitching at Wenger as well about selling Ade and Toure. Ade had one good season and only banged 30 then because of the service he received. He's wasteful and not world class. Toure is at least 3 seasons past his best form and he, like Ade, was a disruptive force on the club. Gallas and Toure couldn't stand each other and sorry to say it but Gallas is a much better defender than he is. 40m for the pair of them was good buisness even if it was to City. The harmony of the squad will be better to see the back of them.
That said we do need to sign a DM. I'm bored of saying it now. A central defender like Hangeland would be very welcome as well. I have watched all the pre-season games but it's hard to gauge how good Vermalen will be over the season.
While I don't think that another striker is essential to replace Ade but Huntelaar is a very nice prospect. Probably won't sign anyone though!
