MACON, Ga. - A man wanted for murder in Washington State has been arrested in Macon.

According to a media release, FBI Agents and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 28-year-old Germi Rashod Zeigler Thursday night.

Deputies say Zeigler is wanted for a murder that occurred in Tacoma, Washington.

Investigators received information that Zeigler was in Macon. They tracked him down to the Houston Avenue area and followed him to the College Park Apartments on Williamson Road where he was taken into custody.

Zeigler is being held without bond on the murder warrant from the Pierce County Washington Sheriff's Office.

Bibb County sheriff’s investigators on Friday arrested a 24-year-old man and charged him with murder in the shooting death of a man at a body shop on the southern edge of downtown Macon last month.

Quindray Jamaal Threatt was being held without bond at the county jail Friday evening in connection with the Feb. 10 slaying of 45-year-old Michael L. Whitaker Jr., officials said.

The shooting happened on Concord Street, less than half a dozen blocks south of the jail in a neighborhood that sits just west of the Houston Avenue split at Broadway.

Threatt’s address is listed in a jail booking form as the Salvation Army shelter on Broadway, not far from where the shooting happened.

Threatt was “taken into custody in Houston County during a traffic stop,” Bibb sheriff’s officials said in a statement announcing his arrest.


Further details about how Threatt may have been linked to the alleged murder or what may have prompted it were not provided.

Threatt also was charged with criminal trespassing in an unrelated case, the statement said.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — He was trusted to care for children, but a school counselor is accused of making his profession about self-gratification rather than education.
Police say 30-year-old Matthew Johnson placed a hidden camera in the boys’ restroom at La Sierra Academy in Riverside, Calif., according to CBS LA.
He’s also accused of downloading and distributing child pornography.



ABC 7 reports officers executed a search warrant Wednesday at Johnson’s home and found large amounts of disturbing evidence – more than 600 images and videos of young boys.
They also searched the school and reportedly found more evidence of exploitation.
The local news stations say the investigation remains active.
