Alphas season two

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
It's a bit disappointing how they just brushed aside the story with Rosen going public by putting him in a mental hospital. Okay we got the trashy magazine and the ranting street guy talking about alphas being real, but for the most part it's like the finale never happened and the public doesn't know about them.

But this was a good episode setting up the premise for this season (which, it turns out, is pretty much the same as the premise for last season.) The only complaint really is that too much happened and we didn't get much time on any one story: we hardly saw much of Rosen in hospital, Nina and Rachel regressed without Rosen but were fine by the end and Gary with a chip in his head was over quickly.

I don't remember Hicks being quite so edgy all the time last season, but I guess this has something to do with his powers faltering (or I just don't remember what he was like last season.)

It's funny that Rosen had to fetch Nina to help with the prsion siege when really her ability didn't help at all.

I liked the "Gary waking up" scene.

The main bad guy in the prison looked too much like Toadfish from Neighbours and it was distracting.

It was pretty stupid to hook up an Alpha with hacking powers to the power system in the prison.

Anyway, should be a good season?

Yeah, it spent too much time trying to get everything back to the status quo after last season, but overall it was a good episode.

I liked it, but I agree with most of the criticism. I guess they didn't want to spend a whole lot of time getting them all back together.

Was I supposed to know who that chick Kimmy was who made the guy "almost" shoot himself? Her name was said with such fear, and then like nothing happened.

I think it was Kimmy, LoL.

I wasn't sure about her either. But remember last season all the team members kept running up against dark versions of themselves. Maybe she was pusher woman's one.

I'm curious why they had Nina, who's supposed to be the hot chick, force that guy to tell her she's beautiful. She never came across as particularly needy before.

Anyone watch Warehouse 13? That was a fun season opener.

Nina is so fucked up by her guilt at accidentally killing her boyfriend that she can't have a normal relationship now.

GOOD EPISODE.

I love how they're all so utterly flawed, but in a believable way. Nina's losing her marbles, and this makes sense because I think this is why Rosen tried to help her in the first place. Hick's sex scene was pretty hot. Loved Rachel trying to vacuum the skin out of the air vents.

I tried to warn you when they stole my pudding!

I approve of Gary's new attitude. I'M SLAMMING MY DOOR NOW *crash*

Although wouldn't Rachel have realized what that quick gust of wind was when the guy flew by her? They'd been looking for him. Surely she didn't think it was some Alpha fart.

I like the girl who plays Rosen's daughter. She was the hot wolf chick in the short-lived Jim Butcher series. REMEMBER THAT SYFY YOU FUCKERS??

I'm not sure about the Bill/Rosen fight. Didn't everyone know what Rosen was going to do last season finale? I remember it was Gary broadcasting his speech (wasn't it?)

It was pretty good anyway. Maybe a bit slow paced (although last week I complained it was too fast paced.) I'm glad they seem to be going somewhere with Nina and she didn't just go back to normal. Stanton Thingy is an interesting villain though we still don't really know much about him.

"He calls her 'baby' which is weird because they're the same age."

I don't remember Bill being so buff! I like how Rosen seems kinda mad now. MAD SCIENTIST. I wonder if new girl is going to be part of the cast now.

She's pictured with the regular cast in the promo pics so I assume so. She seems like a decent character. I was surprised they didn't mention Nina more but I guess she'll be back soon.

Every tv show seems to do a fight club story now but this one was quite good. Bill said there's no downside to his ability now but I guess being addicted to fighting will become his new downside.

I PREDICT THAT THE GUY RACHEL IS FLIRTING WITH WILL TURN OUT TO BE A TRAITOR.

Nina will be back in the next ep, looks like she tries to kill herself in the promo, but that could be misleading. SyFy shows usually have very misleading previews, for some reason.

Rachel is really cute.
