I think I'm the only person who doesn't find him funny. Al Murray's fine and quite funny when he's being himself, but I've never taken to his Pub Landlord character.
Well you're not supposed to be agreeing with the Pub Landlord, just laughing at his idiocy (you know this anyway so I don't know why I'm saying it.) But you must respect how quick he is to react to what the audience say? MUSTN'T YOU?
He used to have a sitcom on Sky as the Pub Landlord. It wasn't a big hit I don't think.
You're right, I do know that. And I like the subversiveness, but I just find it a bit one-note after a while. I'd find the character funny if he was a 2-3 minute segment in a sketch show, but seen at length I find it all a bit of a much of a muchness.
