Anyone believe in karma?

Fuddlemiff

Is this real life?
The real deal, I mean. Ever have something shitty happen to you and ask yourself "what did I do to deserve this? oh, maybe it was that time I killed the granny by whistling down the phone?"

I dunno.. life just doesn't make sense sometimes. You try your best and twattier people do better.

I think life was designed to never make sense. Karma is only a belief, and that's it. The stronger your belief, the more you make things fit in around the ideals of it. The more closed your mind is to such things, I guess the more cynical you become.

Cynicism is cool.

I've seen too many bad people waltz through life with no bad consequences whatsoever.

In fact one of the biggest, most evil bitches I have ever worked with actually won the lottery.

I think good people do get rewarded in the end, but bad people seem to get rewarded more often, and seldom seem to get their comeuppance.

Innocent children die horribly.

So no.

That's another thing. Praying seems completely pointless. If God ignores a kid who's burning to death in a housefire, why would he bother to answer your shitty prayers asking for a raise or a snow day?

Well yeah, of course it's pointless. But I guess if people are dumb enough to believe it's achieving something then it helps them get through hard times.

Until the bad thing happens anyway. And then they must feel really silly!

Karma also can't explain Dale Winton having a career.

You just say it's "God's plan" when anything bad happens are Dale Winton appears on a Saturday night.

LIVE CELEBRITY PROSTATE SURGERY!

THIS WEEK, DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALE WINTON!!!

BRING ON THE WALL!

Also, wtf is the point of prayer circles and the suchlike? Why would God grant a miracle to cure someone of cancer or something just because they're more popular? That doesn't make any sense!

I don't think they've thought it through.

Or most Wiccan shite either. Never gonna work, girls!

nothing fucking works

People praise god when good shit happens, then just say "its gods plan" when bad shit happens.

If "God" has a divine plan then then praying is meaningless. Since he has a plan and praying isn't going to change it in any way. He's not going to change the fucking plan because you want to win the lottery now is He?

Not that He exists to begin with.

But yeah, I've had very noticeable runs of bad luck that seem to be out of the norm of probabilities. Sometimes it's just small stuff that keeps piling on and on and NOTHING you do seems to make a blind bit of difference.

I used to be quite a heavy gambler (one of my many, many vices) and luck is something tangible that you really get a chance to analyze. And I think you would be hard pressed to find many gamblers who would say that runs of good and bad luck don't happen and that they seem at least to defy the odds whether in your favour or against you.

As for karma..

I have to agree that there are too many shitheads cruising through life causing others misery and reaping the rewards with money, health, family, happiness. They don't seem to have got the memo about karma.

Nobody would believe in anything if they gave it a little critical thought first.

do you believe that the sun will rise tomorrow?
