Star Trek: The Captain's Summit (2009)
I downloaded this last night, it is a round table interview hosted by Whoopi Goldberg & featuring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Patrick Stewart & Jonathan Frakes. It runs around 70 minutes. Apparently this is an extra bonus disc exlusive to the Blu-ray Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection.
This was a really good interview with all 4 actors, much better than I expected it to be. Nimoy was funny a couple times because he called Shatner out on his bullshit answers.
I never know what to think of Shatner in interviews, he never comes across as being open, honest & genuinely sincere...the other 3 actors however were more candid. I never knew how emotional Patrick Steward was, he almost cried when telling a story about shooting the last scene in the last Trek film.
What I found most intriguing was how it ended, the actors each had to talk about what Star Trek meant to them...Shatner talked mostly about how it opened doors to further his career. Patrick Stewart mostly talked about how he made lifelong friends...interesting reflective comparisons.
Has anyone else seen this?
