Guatamalans, Hondorans, and Salvadorans have been dealing with the fallout from Reagans central American policies for 30+ years. What we see now is the fruits of those bad policies.

I am always amazed how some folks always blame America first as if 3rd worlders have no agency all and no control over their own situation what so ever. It is lazy and dishonest.

Their main problems, which they share with most of Latin America, is poor governance, corruption, and a culture of law breaking & violence. All of these things long predate Reagan (who didn't help but certainly is not the root cause) and are widely spread over most of Latin America.
