My wife had a parrot, Siren, back in the day that sounded pretty fucking pimp. It'd shit on command, and would pretty much parrot not just what she said but what she did. Whatever she was eating, he wanted some, when she took a shower he wanted to take one as well. He'd pretty much spend every moment on her shoulder that he could.

Unfortunately they are pretty much a single person's pet, not doing so well with couples and even worse with children. Combined with the very high maintenance and long life span I just don't see us getting one.
