Doing a little walk in the morning. This one raises money and accepts donations of canned/bagged/boxed food goods for Meals on Wheels. Good cause. Hope lots of people show up. There is a bad storm moving into the area for the weekend though. A little rain won't hurt me. I can do this.

It was pretty nasty sounding out there a few hours ago. Rain and hail pelted the windows, lighting struck and thunder rumbled. Calm out there for the moment. Hopefully the weather will hold until we are done. Hopefully all the homeless people that are put out of the shelters early in the morning will find shelter during this day of storms. At least it will be warmer - low 80s.

Sun came out and it has turned into a beautiful day. Lots of people showed up. At my regular gate and in a crowd, I clocked at 16 minutes per mile. Won't win any races with that but that is not too bad for the old arthritic gal.

Good job El!
I have to start running. Ran a couple times this weekend but I need a better schedule. I think I will get up early and do it.

I've got two walks this month - one on the 13th and the other on the 20th.

Did find out that the obstacle course I'm signed up for in September is only 3.1 miles. The 10 mile event is just a regular walk with the same friends around a lake in Dallas. I've become such a joiner!

When I come to Seattle, I'm coming with three friends. Hopefully I'll get to go in July. One person in the staff class I'm in is retiring in July and another person is a new hire that may not make it through probation. Since I haven't been able to schedule time off for that trip yet because the people I'm going with can't get sorted out, I may not be able to get the time off due to staff shortages.

One thing this year's travels has reminded me of is why I travel alone or with my daughter. Trying to get people to agree on when and where and how to go and what to do when they are there is as tough as herding cats. With my kiddo, we go when I can and I do what she wants to do because she is the center of the universe and thankfully she and I like to do a lot of the same things.

Fucking is actually a pretty mediocre calorie burner the way most people do it, it's a shame people keep on recirculating that rumor.

Wild, painful fucking or run a mile, it's your choice.
