Avengers

well he's a mullet-wearing biker who hangs out with gay goths in this life, so I'd hate to see what he'll be like in his next life

you're right!

Howard Stern's show has gotten weird as hell.

I'm ashamed to say I would be fucking RIVETED to a reality show with those two in it. How come they never put that in the Big Brother house?

Haven't watched many of the reality type tv shows but the year Ron Jeremy and Tammy Faye were on the Surreal Life was very interesting.

I also want to see how the Hulk is handled. On the TV series, he had no control over when he would Hulk out, which is why he kept moving around. Would it help to see the recent Hulk movies before seeing the Avengers?

I only know the actor from Hurt Locker and Dahmer. I don't watch the MI movies because life is too short for that much suck. But probably he was in it.
The first MI's were pretty disappointing but that last one was great. Saw Ghost Protocol at the same time as the last Sherlock Holmes movie and the American version of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was out. Loved that the good guy from the Swedish version of the movie played the bad guy in MI and the girl that played Lisbeth in the Swedish version played the Gypsy girl in Sherlock Holmes.

Love that Josh Whedon did the Avengers and with Chris Hemsworth. Just saw Cabin in the Woods with that same pairing. I loved it, but I'm a huge Josh Whedon fan. And, with Josh Whedon and Amy Acker involved, there was only one way for that movie to end.

My brother was a big comic fan when he was a kid so while I didn't read them I'm aware of the characters. Don't remember Hawkeye though. I'm very interested in this character. Isn't the actor that plays Hawkeye also in the last Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol?

Did you stay until after the credits ran?

from wiki:

Clint Barton was born in Waverly, Iowa. At a young age he lost both of his parents in a car accident. After six years in an orphanage, Clint and his brother Barney ran away to join the Carson Carnival of Travelling Wonders.[2] Clint soon caught the eye of the Swordsman, who took the young boy on as his assistant. Along with the help of Trick Shot, the Swordsman trained Clint to become a master archer.[3] Clint later found the Swordsman embezzling money from the carnival. Before he could turn his mentor over to the authorities, Clint was beaten and left for dead, allowing the Swordsman to skip town.[4] Clint's relationship with his brother Barney and Trick Shot soon deteriorated as well.[5]

Clint adapted his archery skills to become a star carnival attraction, a master archer called Hawkeye, otherwise known as “The World’s Greatest Marksman”. He spent some time as a member of Tiboldt's Circus,[6] before joining the Coney Island Circus. He witnesses Iron Man in action and is inspired to become a costumed hero. However, after a misunderstanding on his first outing, Hawkeye is accused of theft and believed to be a criminal. On the run, the naive Hawkeye meets the Black Widow, a spy for the Soviet Union, with whom he falls in love. Blindly following the Black Widow, Hawkeye aids her attempts to steal technology developed by Tony Stark. In one of their battles with Iron Man, the Black Widow is seriously injured. Hawkeye rescues her and flees the battle to save her life. But before Hawkeye can take her to a hospital, the Black Widow disappears. Hawkeye decides to be a "straight-shooter" from then on.[7]

A couple of my friends who were lucky enough to see the movie over the weekend want to see the movie again.

If you've seen it, do you want to see it again too?

I'll probably see it next week, it's at our local theater for a mud season run for locals

I would see it again. I'm not usually one of those guys who does that but my girlfriend hasn't seen it and wants to.

OMG - just got back from seeing it. Gave in to plain 3D instead of the Imax but it was still awesome.

For me, the Hulk had the best parts. One scene in particular stole that film. If you've seen it, you know which one I'm talking about. It was just a ton of surprise and delicious glee.

Did anybody else get a little Serenity deja vu?

The little scene part way through the credits was very interesting and the scene after the credits was great.

Will probably go see it again with my daughter and her husband as they haven't seen it yet. Then, we'll see it in Imax :)

Still havent seen it, prolly tonight. My wife keeps thinking it's the old british detective series remake. LOL

I thought Ruffalo/Hulk was so good I was kinda pissed he wasn't in the Hulk movies. He stole the movie on at least four scenes: with Widow, with Thor, with Cap in the street and of course the scene you speak of. Fantastic movie.

That was maybe the most cathartic moment in the history of superhero movies; perhaps in the history of all male teen power/rage fantasies. I can't wait for the animated .gif --I'm gonna plaster that fucker EVERYWHERE.
