Back to basics?

I play this at a couple of levels. I don't get mad, I get even, and in that serendipity is a virtue. This will be a fun troll to deconstruct. The persona is so ingrained, even he believes it.

The second thing is, revenge is a dish best served cold.

Would you say that because he/she has you so invested, you yourself have become victim of a successful troll?

You can say whatever you want, just read the "Hey Jack" thread for the final successful result.

I didn't 'say' anything. I'm asking you a question.

Wouldn't you agree an important part of successful trolling is getting the target/targets to invest in the construct?

For me, it's the heart and soul of it. I don't even have to really do anything, it's mostly serendipity.

Yes the apptitude for ideal accidental discovery.

To come full circle, all I'm saying is there seems to be a pretty heavy investment with regard to 'Ange'. Old school defines these kinds of transactions(particularly ones that start ringing the RL bell) as troll'ees. Not troll'ers.

I'm no pro and seeing as how it say's TK on the sign I'll just go ahead and assume y'all know what you're doing.

Oh, did you happen to see all that work Eloisel put into explaining to Ange what having a life is all about.

Investment.

But hey, what do I know?

As you were.

See that's the beauty of it. I reduced my victim to ash, as is being evidenced. Soon he'll be a memory, no matter how he tries to convince anyone otherwise.

A most successful troll in the classic sense. Although I was unfamiliar with the character in the beginning, he left a HUGE trail, so the sleuthing became fun. The end result are the same lame threats every dancer has ever resorted to "you work here" "I found out your real name" (Now THERE'S a rare find) "I'm going to call your boss and everyone you work with and tell them how you stalked this fake persona I made up that's really my daughter but you can't talk to her right now because she's a nurse etc etc and is working 4 tenners etc etc"

He forgets all the bullshit he put up here, I guess :bigass:

This is what I'm wondering about. Why the big RL effort?

OK so now I can reveal this. I played RL at levels I knew he would not be able to resist responding to, given his patterning.

His final responses are exactly as I expected. When trolling your opponent, don't hesitate to kill them in the conflict, if given the opportunity.

Honey bunny, it wasn't work on my end. I type 160 wpm and like nothing better than talking about my life. What was fun was watching Angearl go from the copy and paste material that Angearl had been using on different boards for at least two years and the "Jack is this and that" stuff Angearl has been posting repeatedly here and go into a complete tizzy. How many times did Angearl respond to the initial post in that one thread?

Besides, we're just posting on a message board. Posting is what one does - if not one, then to another or others.

You see riotgear, there was beauty in the trolling you saw towards ange, ange is a feeder troll that has RL issues that are projected onto a board. However 'it' became desperate for acceptance and devotion, but it only found ridicule and disbelief.. it became obssessed by jack, but by doing that it allowed people like me, donavon, etc to pull their lies apart and attack from differing angles, and in different styles, ange could not stay away! and thats the catch, we had her( it) and everyday presented evidence to bury her, and she kept digging herself deeper, eloisel and jack broke her in the end, el presenting herself everything ange wasnt, hence the lash out, and jack upping the game in a way ange has never seen before,

there is beauty in all this...

Will's hitting it on the head here...when Earl started the Eloisel call out thread, I knew he was ours.

That shit is fun, and I enjoy a good kill, like this one was. Will really started the ball rolling with his SFN discovery, the rest was like putting a sock over a cats head and watch it back into shit frantically trying to get it off :D

And sadness. I used to be somewhat like Earl. I always seeking attention even if it was negative. I feel kinda sad for him that he wasn't able to straighten up and fly right like I eventually did.

nah there was no hope for earl...

Search your feelings, loktar, you can't do this. I feel the conflict within you. Let go of your hate.

That fucking bullshit is different. It views our culture differently than we do and tries to subvert it.

He wasn't even that good. Just persistent. In the end, he cracked like they all do. people like that are really easy to figure out, after you've drawn them out for a bit. It doesn't take a good chardonnay to loosen them up at all, they feed off the idea they're "doing" something.

:D

One more note to Gear, by way of explaining why such obvious trolls get a lot of initial attention. There is a rumor going around that occasionally certain highly respected members of this board like to put on costumes and go prancing about acting like the worst and/or most blatant trollbait (see: Lucifer, Saint or Bacardi, Jillian) right here among the general populace. These sudden appearances usually lead to hijinx as members try to guess whether a n00b is really that stupid or is simply a DUUUUUUUUAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!!!!11!!shiftone!

Even when a troll is a suspected dual, often the prankster puts so much effort into maintaining the ruse it seems almost rude to not play along. We are like troll furries: we'll fuck anything that looks like it might have come from under a bridge...
