Battlestar Galactica

I don't believe Ellen's the fifth, not for sure anyway. They'd still have to explain how Kara apparently came back from the dead. I did like how Ellen's last words mirrored (or were exactly the same as?) her first death.

Nearly cried when Dualla died. :( Seriously, seriously holding back the tears. She was my favourite. I was so happy that she was getting some good quality screen time and hoped it'd go on for the rest of the season... I should've guessed it was a bad omen. That always happens when they kill someone off. Still, her death made sense. In that situation somebody is going to off themselves, so it made sense to have main character do it. Also loved the shot afterwards when Adama stormed through the hallways and there was a fight going on.

One thing I wonder, though, is if the whole planet was inhabited by Cylons, why did only five get resurrected? We'll see.

Anyway, BRILLIANT episode, can't wait for more. Only crumby thing was Roslin. First everyone's waiting on the hangar deck for her to say something and she barely addresses them and then the silly "buuuuuurrrn" scene.

Hey can anyone lend me $1000 - $2000?

Oh Racetrack.

I too am skeptical about Ellen and Kara. My feeling is that they are ALL cylons, and were all once a part of earth. But why wouldn't Starbuck have been drawn to the viper music? A switch has not been turned on for her.

I actually thought the viper crash looked staged, as if someone put it there to fuck with her. Also, Leoben's reaction. WTF?

Felix Gaeta finds an alternate Earth - Episode 9.

Okay, another thing. In the episode "The Farm" the cylon Simon takes Starbuck's eggs. Wouldn't they show that they aren't viable eggs if they ran tests on them?

I'm sobering up now, which is why I'm thinking these things now, so forgive me.

Wait, nevermind...DUH. MAYBE I AM STILL DRUNK FUCK I'M STOOPID

13 Colonies of Cylons? Long Forgotten Cylon Civil War? Interesting....

Something interesting to note is that this was the final episode written before the writer's strike, so if it had gone on for longer, this would've been the last episode.

THINK ABOUT THAT.

GRRR, I DON'T WANNA USE SPOILER TAGS! Next week we should start a thread just for the new episode and people who haven't seen it STAY AWAY :rwmad:

I loved the episode. Everyone was as depressed as they should be. I already knew Dee was going to kill herself, so that wasn't a surprise. Kinda surprised that Lee was trying to get back into her pants though!

Ellen as the final cylon has been a rumor for a long time now. I'm a bit suspicious, and wouldn't be surprised if RM wants us to believe that and then WHAMMO someone else turns out to be a cylon. Still, I'd be glad if she's alive somewhere and comes back, maybe they've got a secret resurrection ship, or something that only contains the bodies of 5 earth cylons, WHO KNOWS?

I thought it was weird, and cheesy, that the 4 cylons just happened upon the place where they "died" but maybe that is part of the plan.

Now, I think Starbuck has to be a cylon too. There's no other way to explain her other body. She's either a cylon or it's magic.

My favorite bits were between Adama and Tigh. I love them.

I'm giving up on the spoiler tags. It should be clear by now that there are SPOILERS WITH DUCKS here. AND CYLONS.

That article Tom linked to was really good. The episode's mood was informed by the fact that they all thought it might be the last episode.

RDM also says that Baltar's theory about the Cylons being the 13th tribe is true.. but yeah, he could be lying like he did with dead Starbuck. Anyway, if it's true then it probably means the Earth Cylons came first, created the humans who destroyed them, then the humans built their own Cylons who in turn did the same. Just like Leoben said in season 1. Repetition. That still leaves a bazillion questions, though.

About Starbuck, some believe the body was planted there by Cavil. It's a possibility since Starbuck saw a Cylon heavy raider before she "died" which could have recovered her. Then they dumped the Viper on Earth with some random dead body. We know they've kept human prisoners. Maybe it's all in an attempt to make the Colonials believe Kara's the final fifth?

Kara's other body=clone/time travel/wibbly wobbly timey wimey?

Why did RM make Ellen a slutty final cylon? :rwmad: Ok, so maybe she really is the final cylon, I just started reading the article. That doesn't mean he's telling the truth but it seems like he is.

Fuddster, your idea that maybe the humans and cylons have been creating each other for ever kinda makes sense. That would mean they're all cylons in a way, and all human in a way. The only ones who are clearly different are the Centurions. Maybe next time they can skip the robots!

What happened in the first half. I missed that.

Adama came upon a half buried Statue of Liberty, dropped too his knees and said "Damn dirty cylons. You maniacs, you blew it all to Hell!

They basically wandered around depressed because earth is a radioactive slag heap. Dee found some jacks on the beach (the kind little kids play with, not the kind comitards dance with) and that really sent her down the road to suicide, I think.

Tyrol happened upon a stain on a wall, and it was HIS stain from when a nuclear blast killed him. This caused him to have a flashback to his life there on earth 2,000 yrs ago. Anders and Tory also had flashbacks, but they didn't show Tory's. Anders remembered playing All Along the Watchtower for them, maybe he even wrote it, I don't know.

Kara and Leoban tracked down the beacon her viper picked up, and discovered Kara's dead body inside a viper, which freaked both of them out. Finally, something made Leoban shit his pants, lol.

Leoban acted like a stoner who just came upon a buddy who's OD'd.

I have heard that before.

And what with all their faulty jump circuitry, and the event horizon hanging out at the temple of the eye of Jupiter, they may be out of their era.

In the next episode Starbuck has an orgy with all the 6's and 8's and Dualla who has a sudden recovery.
