Battlestar Galactica

Maybe she's herself from an alternative timeline.

SHE'S LEOBEN'S DAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll find out tonight, OR WILL WE?

It's almost nearly time to load up on whiskey and funny cigarettes. :)

The writers said Daniel was her dad, so RDM could be lying again!

He is the prince of lies.

Hot little Racetrack went out like a hero.

It was good, and sad, and happy, all at the same time. It really did look like they spent the entire budget on the special effects. STILL DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT STARBUCK IS :rwmad: Also, Tomtrek will be sad.

Starbuck is an angel. I'm guessing Baltar and the the Six at the end might have been too. Unless they used resurrection technology to somehow be alive 150,000 years later.

That was head Six and head Baltar, they were angels.

They turned a once promising science fiction show into a bunch of incomprehensible religious hooey that explained nothing and had bad CGI to boot. Terrible. I hated every part of it.

And so was Starbuck.

The thing I don't get is that according to prophecy she was supposed to be the harbinger of doom or something yet she ended up saving them and bringing them to Earth(twice).

I don't think Kara was the harbinger of doom, but she was they dying leader who would bring them to Earth. In a sense, she was "dying" since she was already dead, and once she got them to earth, she would "die" since her mission was completed.

Anders says see you on the other side. It's almost as if he knew she was an angel since when the Cylons glowed when he was looking at them all, Kara glowed just a bit as well.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I got a little teary the last thirty minutes of the show, especially since I thought Adama might kill himself.

And I guess Tyrol & Callie's son is with Hot Dog?

I loved it and I agree with all the actors who said it leaves you not wanting any more (well, mostly). Pretty much every character was given time at the end so we aren't left hanging wondering what happened to them.

Baltar was brilliant as usual, loved the goggle kiss and his speech to cavil.

Tory got her comeuppance in a very juicy way. I think Tyrol's angry face is gonna be my next av.

There were a few issues with it, though. It felt a bit LotRish in the last half hour when I kept thinking "aww, so that's how it ends..." and then suddenly there'd be another scene. The bit when Adama had a monologue next to Roslin's grave would've been a good ending, if they moved all the other goodbyes to before that.

I don't know about anybody else, but I shouted "WTF?!" when Adama said they were sending their ships into the sun. Some of the evil Cylons are still out there. The Colony might've been destroyed, but they had baseships. Also, I know it was difficult figuring out what to do with Anders, but he didn't need to co-ordinate the ships' flight into the sun. They must have an autopilot.

The stock images of robots and RDM's cameo were a bit cringeworthy. I wonder if David Eick was in there somewhere too?

Poor old Racetrack... but the nudging of her corpse to make the nukes fire was hilarious (intentionally or not).

Bad CGI? Fuck, you're either trolling, or you have cataracts. That was the best CG on any television show ever. The crash and the characters making their way into the Colony ship was movie quality, without a doubt.

I wondered about Kara's prophecy too. The hybrids said she was the harbinger of death, but she brought them life. I like your dying leader theory, I never would have guessed that Kara was the dying leader before the finale.

OH, that was Callie and Hot Dog's kid, Callie was already pregnant with Nicky when she married Tyrol.

Nah, I still think Roslin was the dying leader (although I liked my theory that it was Galactica). She didn't lead them all the way there, but she lead them for more than three years. And she had all those prophesised visions.

Ya know, I just finished watching this again, and

When Adama took Laura out for her last spin around the planet on the raptor and they were viewing the life forms in the water, were those pink flamingos? Did anyone else hear the theme from Miami Vice in their heads? :)

I wonder if Adama corpse-raped Roslin before he put her in the ground?
