You are in far better shape then beergoggles is, but its still rather distastful to brag about any of this. In the past I've had the privelege of working with disadvantanged children, most notably, those with Autism. The very idea of someone bragging about their mental abilities and prowress makes me sad and pretty upset at the same time. I simply don't have much respect for people like that.

Perhaps this question should be addressed by our good friend Mental. He is the originator of this thread, so I will leave it to him to provide proof to his assertion. I think he's just jealous of my 157 compared to his 136.

I agree, bragging about how clever one is is not something to be impressed by. There are many facets to a person and thier worth as a human being beyond a statistical test. And genius is gauged in many, many, many ways. I'm not a genius, I would never be so full of myself to claim I was a genius. Even if I was, which I'm not. I was on the other hand asked a question and I don't mind answering a question about my IQ I certainly don't think I am better than anyone else when giving a straight answer about myself out though. One thing that I am consitent about in RL and on the internet is my open nature. I talk about my faults and my strengths. I rarely hold information back when asked about myself.

I was happily spamming away minding my own buisness when Mr 157 got me annoyed with the shit he was spewing. I felt inclined to call him on it and I'm glad I did because he is a liar and lying is pathetic, even more so on the internet.

I could come out of this looking pretty bad if you were to prove to us, which should be very easy for you to do considering how many official tests you've taken. I'm crushed and dismayed that you all feel so threatened by my intellectual gifts. Like BB, my heart goes out to disadvantaged children. I too am just trying to be open, but you guys are threatened by that. I've faced it all before though. A 157 IQ is more of a curse than a gift in many respects. This is evidence of it. Its a system of measuring the relative levels of a persons ability to learn and retain new information within their brain. I'll break that down further for some of you who claim to have high IQ's. Your IQ only tells you how easy it is for you to learn. It does not tell you how smart you are. A person with a low IQ, could theoretically have more positive personality traits, such as determination, resolve, studiousness, and with time, be considered as intelligent, if not more so than those with IQ's approaching twice what their own is. No test exists that can trully tell you what your level of inteligence is.

Second, and most importantly, bragging about your IQ is a sure fire way to get just about anyone in academic circles to immediately shake their head, and chuckle. I'm sick of people who run around telling people their IQ's, because even sharing something like that is evidence to me of how stupid you really are. There is absolutely no good reason for telling someone else how easy it is for you to learn. It doesn't elevate you in any way. I'd never tell anyone here what my IQ is, and I'd certainly never use it in casual conversation, like some idiots here.

In short, if you really feel the need to brag about your IQ on a BBS.....well, you do the math.
