House is pretty good thanks to Hugh Laurie, but the writing can be annoying. I thought after the awesome rehab episodes that his character might actually change permanently, but he then basically went back to the same old asshole House only without the drug addiction. The Thirteen/Foreman stuff got too much screentime too and even though Olivia Wilde is awesome there was no chemistry between them (though it was funny when the others were making fun of Foreman acting like a robot.)
 
^The reason I don't like House is I like for my assholes to eventually "redeem" themselves. He never learns anything, he's a complete dick, and I'm surprised no one has murdered him or poisoned his drugs yet. If there's no room for change in a character, his shtick will get old quick. IMO. :)

I've heard House is a good show, but it seems way too formulaic to me. Not that Fringe isn't formulaic, but I'm much more tolerant of sci-fi shows that follow the same structure than I am of straight drama shows.
