It’s no joke to be teased and ridiculed at school. Children can be cruel, picking out differences in appearance as well as physical deformities. This psychological bullying takes it toll especially on children with large ears. Typically the teasing begins during the kindergarten years. In our day there is a cosmetic surgery procedure that will put this teasing to an end and restore a child’s self confidence. Otoplasty, commonly just called "ear surgery", or "ear pinning", is performed on both children and adults. It is a surgical procedure that reduces the size, and in some cases reshapes the ears to make them more proportional to the face and head. It is most commonly used to correct prominent ears, although Otoplasty techniques are used on many ear deformities, such as folded or cupped ears. Typically Otoplasty in children is often delayed until after the child reaches the age of five to seven. It is also not unusual for an adult to be interested in an Otoplasty.
There are several different, well-established techniques utilized in correcting the three-dimensional contour of the ear. These involve combinations of cartilage scoring, cartilage suturing, and cartilage resection. The incision is placed behind the ear to avoid visible scarring. The remaining cartilage is then reshaped and the angle between the scalp and the back of the ear is corrected to a more proportional scale. The depth of the well of the ear can also be reduced. If you’ve always been self-conscious about the size of your ears, or if you constantly find yourself trying to cover your ears with your hair or a cap, you may very well be a good surgical candidate. Ears normally project 15 – 18mm from the head in the mid-portion of the ear. If your ears protrude beyond that distance, surgery can position the ears to these normal distances. Children's ears become fully grown anywhere from four to six years of age. Many agree that having the surgical process done earlier rather than later in life can avoid many of the complications both physical and psychological An otoplasty, when properly performed with provide balance and symmetry to the face. Children who undergo otoplasty have greater self confidence and happy lives as they grow into adulthood.

FTR I'm currently using NO duals. Trolling in a thread about having them released is one thing, having any that i actually use is another. That cat thing isn't mine, but it's nice to see you "over-react" to a rather playful idea I had.
