Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.
I know I fon't usually post in the Mine Field, but if you haven't seen this Netflix bit yet, you owe it to yourself ti give it a whirl.

You won't be disappointed. No spoilers, just a recommendation that everything you know about horror movies gets turned on its ear in this one.

I am about 40 minutes in and I don't see anything about a litter box yet.
There are a couple of birds in a box.
 
Is it about teenagers being shaved into meat like shawarma and fed to some birds through a slit in a box?

I heard it set Netflix viewing records or something.
 
The internet has spent the past two days obsessing over it, even though in the end nobody thinks it's very good.
 
Huh. I loved it. Watched it again last night to fill in the blanks. IMO it was unique.
 
I think I need to read the book to fill in the blanks.
 
The internet always goes crazy over things for a few days then forgets about them.
 
I just now finished watching this, and yes. It's definitely worth a few hours of your time. A little cliched, but brilliant.
 
I am totally going to mention this movie the next time I do some stand up. (WHICH MAY BE TONIGHT. PROBABLY NOT SINCE I MENTIONED IT NOW)

I'm going to be like, "Have you seen Bird Box?"
Or maybe just say, "Have you heard of the movie on Netflix called Bird Box?"
OMG I HATE THIS JOKE ALREADY!

ALL I WANT TO SAY IS, "EVERYONE WAS WONDERING WHAT IT WAS GOING TO BE ABOUT" AND I WAS LIKE, "DUH!"
Its about a woman who blindfolds herself and 2 children and rows down the river with a couple of birds in a box because the birds will sense the danger." DUH. Couldnt' you tell that from the title?
OH, and everyone is going crazy and some people have blindfolds and others do not and if you take your blindfold off and see the terror than you will kill yourself.
And not once does it mention it is because they all saw the face of God and now knew what they had done in their life or not done or something like that and they felt shame so they had to die because there was no REDEMPTION?! 0_0 I DON"T FUCKING KNOW!

Not sure I can really do all that on stage with the feeling that I have here, now, in my mind, BUT I WILL TRY!
 
Turns out it was a different sort of "open-mic". Instead it was more like a round table poetry reading and writing and only lasted an hour, but it was quite a neat thing to go to, I think I will do it again.
I was in an old book store-and the room we were in had Star Wars books and next time I go I will spend more time browsing, it was quite a place. No electronics. I felt like I was in the 80's, it was great.
 
STAR WARS BOOKS?
 
Is that surprising? There are lots of them. I will take a picture next time.
 
I wore a blind fold myself before I listened to it, it sounded like an hour and a half of porn, then I remembered I don't have Netflix
 
But you have Nunfux (a Netflix rip-off that specialises in nun-themed porn movies.)
