What if instead, the black rock entered the temperoal barrier of the ilsand 200 years ago, but crashed on the island just before Ben got there?
Or maybe even after he got there?
Dharma fucked with that island, and maybe created the temporaral barrier due to their experiements, teh black rock could have been dragged there after the 1970s, by Bens time frame.
No matter what time you come from outside the island, you could arrive on it within a certain timeframe.
If a 15 minute helicopter ride can take a day and a half, who knows what affects it might have on a sailing ship?
